It's like intellectual molestation
If my life experiences have taught me anything, it is this: I am a sad, middle-aged/ old man MAGNET. These fuckers crawl out of everywhere and god do they love to tell me how much I "fascinate" them.
Fascinating. Intriguing. And they ALWAYS want to "pick my brain", "chat over coffee", or the most recent one (and by far the creepiest!) "I suspect we have things to gnatter and laugh about together all day and all night, and on to the next day......"

Whyyyyyy????
At first I ignored them, or awkwardly laughed them off, but it's the pattern that's starting to knaw away at me.
1.) 50's
2.) I "intruige","fascinate", or "inspire" them. ( I have been declared a "muse" by one. Fuck that weird shit)
3.) They insist that their intentions are platonic, yet they want to spend a disgusting amount of time with me. (I had to tell a teacher (50) at school why it was weird that he wanted me to take him grocery shopping. "I just find you so ~~*fascinating*~~ and I enjoy your company." NO
4.) For whatever reason, they are unhappy in their current position in life. Not satisfied with their career or marriage (*gag*) is most common.
What the fuck is going on? Is this some under reported effect of a mid-life crisis? Some go and buy the shiny car while others chase after girls LESS THAN half their age who INSPIRE them with INNOCENT ~*~feeelings~*~ which, as time progresses, will slowly erode to reveal the ugliness from underneath?
I could compare it to the "Nice guy" syndrome. A style of emotional manipulation trough insincere 'kindness' backed by a feeling of entitlement....but about 100X creepier.
It's something that I would like to put more thought to, because it's morbidly fascinating on one hand...but on the other it makes me physically ill to do so. The more I look, the uglier it gets, and I end up feeling more and more...violated? Yes. Violated.
This most recent one also wears all black, conciders himself a writer, wears a fedora (!), IS OLDER THAN MY OWN GODDAMN FATHER, and is waaay too ornate in his manner of speach. Easily the worst I've had to encounter, aaaand I want him to drown in a sea of dicks.
