This has been a good weekend for me - my long-time gaming group had a great session of D&D 4E last night, I met with a new group today for Burning Wheel setting and character burning, I got to spend some quality time with the girlfriend, and I finished up reading House of Chains (book 4 in the series I've been working my way through). Plus, I just beat Fallout 3. I really don't have anything bad to say about Fallout other than that it keeps crashing on me - it's just all-around a great game. After the disappointment of Spore, it's nice to see a game that lives up to expectations.
I'm totally psyched to get to play Burning Wheel, finally. We've co-opted the structure of Burning Empires in an informal way - the phase/maneuver/etc. structure is a little more behind-the-scenes rather than being an overt thing at the table, but it's still there, more or less. That's something I've been interested in playing with, so I'm excited to see where this goes. It's a little nerve-racking to drop into a pre-existing group as 'the new guy', but it seems to be going well so far.
