Just got an email from my advisor's former student, looking for people to contribute to a conference panel. For the first time, I actually have the knowledge such that I could respond to the call with some chance of acceptance and enough knowledge to not look like a fool if I got it. Radsauce. Hoping to pass the opportunity on to a collaborator, though; she's earned it, and could use it better than I could at this point. Now on to the several levels of politicking... (Still, this feels REALLY GOOD.)
