School, courses, j-pop, microfic meme. In that order.
My school doesn't seem to want us to take courses. I can't get into any of the extra courses I want, since nearly all of them are full - and the rest will collide with other classes I'm already taking. The same thing happened this semester; it's not, are you sure you want us to study? Also, there are no classes on Wednesday. At all. The only thing I can do on Wednesday is sleep and prepare for my other classes because there's nothing open on Wednesday. Lazy professors.
And I have to take up another language. I've never actually went and learned a language though. Sure, English is a second language to me and I still find Chinese easier, but I've been learning English since nursery school and it's as much part of me as Chinese. I've known both ever since I could remember and, well, occasionally I dream in English. (I wonder - does this count as me being bilingual?)
I tried learning a little Japanese last summer and failed horribly. Mostly because I'm lazy and am hopeless at memorizing things. But while Spanish and French are both okay (they only offer these languages o_O), Japanese is definitely the most useful language to me. Plus at least I can mostly pronounce the sounds. But dammit, so many people trying to get in Japanese classes.
Here's to hoping I can get in Japanese - or any course, actually - next semester. *click*

Also, the JE fandom is insane. I mean, which fandom finds RPS completely normal? Pop fandom, of course. It's part of their merchandising, so that makes sense, I guess. I got in because of the RPS too, as I'm sure a lot of other also did. But recently I've been finding it more and more creepy; does there exist a fandom somewhere that's JE-based but completely gen?
And why is it that when I do start liking a pairing, it's always the oddest ones ever? Seriously, it drives me crazy. And worse yet, I know which ones are most likely the common pairings. And I most often dislike them with a passion. I know it's irrational, this is j-pop, but I can't help it! It comes with my anime/manga experience since childhood, I think.
Well, except het pairings. Most of the het pairings I enjoy are the mainstream ones.
Next up, I blame the Asian tour for making Arashi popular everywhere these days. There are SO MANY new fans around me. The good thing is, most of them are sane compared to [censored]. And I'm trying very hard to restrain myself from joining fandom, so I have a very clean memory of them that's not tainted by extreme opinions. I'm still trying to recover from the experience of being scarred by the KAT-TUN fandom.
I don't quite get exactly why they're suddenly so popular (I mean, it's not like they're doing anything different from three years ago), but they're fun.
They seem to do more thinking than some other Johnnys groups, but they do things that seem so stupid sometimes. And the concert ideas they come up with can be somewhat ridiculously funny - I mean, parades. In a concert. What for?
I'm paying extra attention to Sakurai Sho because of his performance in 'Kisarazu Cat's Eye'. And oh my god, he is SO MUCH FAIL. And he's from Keio and a news caster plus good MC, but he's still so much fail. How can someone so smart be so stupid at the same time? You can also tell he loves talking because he never quite stops, but most of the time what comes out is randomness - where's the logic? In another fandom. It makes him interesting - might be paying him more attention, depending on my mood.
I need to stop judging how interesting someone is because of how much fail they're made of.
So, I saw this Microfic Meme around, in which you try to write ten different categories of fic in ten words or less. It's not actually much of a story, but it's fun. I changed the categories of the one I saw because a) I don't write smut and b) too many categories seemed so alike.

Somehow, I chose Ninomiya to be the one bringing a corpse in. I think that might mean I have very high expectations of him.
And because I'm bored, I may be lengthening some of those into drabbles.
