I now has sticky post and I apologize to everyone I'm spamming. I should probably refrain from using purposely lame grammar because with the usual grammar around with place, people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

So fandomsecrets is moving to DreamWidth and while I've spent too much time, effort and actual money to be able to laugh freely, I'm still ( Read more... )

livejournal is lame, strangely talkative at midnight

LJ is stupid. But I still suggest you stop read fandom secret. It's not healthy!
Tried to use community ranking to find some interesting comm a few days ago. There are so many inactive comms have high rank. Ugh, shitty system.

It looks like they're letting the programmers do whatever they want to come up with fancy ideas, but honestly? Programmers never know what users want. No, LJ, you're never going to be Facebook, and you're going to lose all your users if you keep trying to become Facebook.

(Why is this take me forever to reply?)
I don't think they want to become Facebook, are they really that stupid? But this social ranking system has obviously a big big bug in it, shame.
Now they change scrapbook feature, no photobucket. Haven't use them but I've heard my friend who used it complained.
I know any function change would cause complain so I awlays try to keep as open-mined as I can. Well, now I just seat here and see what will happen. (and I should try to back up my lj to dw...

Trying to force people to be social? Sounds like they want to be like Facebook. Changing their comment system to one that encourages new threads instead of conversation? Same.

I never use LJ's rich text functions anyway, Photobucket plus HTML works fine for me so whether or not the new Scrapbook is implemented doesn't affect me.

I think the ranking system is pointless, and puts sharing comms in dangerous situations. Sharing communities are going to be large, even if their content is locked. It's encouraging people to lock their content, and I hate joining communities just to take a peek at, for example, a few icons I might not even like. I find new communities here by looking at their interests and whether their community style fits me, not by whether they're popular or not.

I give it three days. If I don't like a new change within three days, it's not a good one. If I can get used to it within three days, it's a decent change. If I actually like it after three days...wait, that's never happened with LJ, never mind.

I'm sure that engineer would assume most of user won't use html. My friend said picture size adjustment from actual size to percentage in rich text. Ugh, bad one.

You can't deny that someone might be interesting in "active" comm. Sharing comm? I don't know what this is beside those lock their precious icons in a comm. I bet that stupid icon lock comm would never be very popular. Though I join some of them anyway. We can discuss this in msn.

I don't think those who know what they are doing would care about ranking, like most of fandom comms. But it's not like LJ would cancel this feature anyway...

Three days! Most of time I don't even know something has changed in three days, unless you tell me, of course.

Oh just for record,
I think ranking idea is good.
I want comment title, though we seldom use it unless in special comm and needed.
Comment expand system is stupid, some of features are good but I want a quick expand all key.

Style? There's no global agreement in style so no comment.
