.try not to laugh when you're running from the shooter.

Yesterday was pretty fun. Dusty and I worked a long day... From 6:30am to 7:30pm but hey, I needed the money SOOOO bad!! It was pretty fun, actually, because for a while we were filming a shooting scene. And as all of us 'background' folk were running we couldn't help but grin and laugh... Especially since the first "shot" wasn't a real gunshot, the actor just yelled "bang" and that was the cue to scramble, and the second shot was real (well... a real blank of course) So it kind of felt more like when you're a kid playing cops and robbers... we all reverted to the beautiful age of seven for a while there!!

It was kind of fun pretending to be scared, leaping off a wall, grabbing Dusty's hand, and running like hell with a group of other people to duck behind a school bus. It was weird not screaming though... but I guess it's better that we were all quiet because we'd probably have been laughing. Once we ducked down several of us couldn't help but snicker... but we were far enough away not to disturb the shot. Eventually, after like the first three or four takes plus two rehearsals, we managed to actually look scared while running, instead of like we were at a party!!

Later it was entertaining because we got to sit and watch two stunt men perform a tackle off of a table, roll over the wall and land on the ground and fight. It was really cool, actually... And as I saw one guy's back smack against the stone wall, even though it's actually styrofoam, I couldn't help but think it must of hurt damn bad... But then I reminded myself that most stuntmen are in it for the fun, and don't usually get hurt.
