Pain in the Chakra

Since the start of the year I have been working hard to get back into a good meditation schedule. This is something I need to quiet the brain down, since it never shuts up, and to work on some other issues. So far it has been going well. I have been meditating on average about 30-40 minutes a night and have been getting some good results from it. Still a long ways to go, but a good start.

Well, last night, in my awe inspiring wisdom I decided to do a Chakra Clearing/Cleaning meditation. Thinking that would be a nice and something a bit different. It went well and was rather intense at some stages.

Well, this morning I woke up and went into the office (other bedroom) and started working. That lasted for about 5 minutes as I was not able to focus on the screen and I quickly developed a lovely stabbing pain right behind the eyes. I was also really sensitive to light and feeling queasy. Well, for those you in the know, this is a migraine. Thankfully Rosie was around to properly medicate me for this as I have NEVER had a migraine in my life. Heck, I rarely get headaches even when I am totally stressed. So having something 10+ times worse after a mellow weekend was really weird. I wont be doing that meditation again for a long while.

And to those that do suffer from Migraines... Wow. I have a whole new level of sympathy for what you go through.

In other news my new 802.11n base station arrived today. Its so nice and fast! It has some really cool features like being able to put a hard drive right on the wireless network (like a NAS) that I wont be using, I just want the speed :) Of course this now gives Rosie and I 3 Wireless base stations for a 2 person household. I guess the cats need their access too. (one of the stations in an Airport Expresss using WDS to bridge the networks in the different rooms)
