New Art sketches
I have a bunch of sketches I've been working on lately, and I figured since I haven't inked [most of] them, I would post them up for critique and comments. I've gotten horribly lazy with updating this journal and keeping people posted with my new art. I'm sorry. Admittedly, the low amount of feedback is to blame. I just don't feel the desire to post this stuff everywhere when I only get a couple comments. Granted, I really appreciate the comments I get, and I love you dearly for doing so!!! But that is also prolly why those people tend to get to see this stuff in IM's instead.
Also, the other reason, which is my own fault, is because I have developed a fear of negative comments. Don't mistake that as a fear of constructive criticism, tho. My fear is of people accusing me of stealing. I know I don't, but that doesn't stop me from feeling hurt when I am accused of it. I should be amused when I am accused of stealing my own work, but not lately. Plus, I have noticed a huge spike in the amount of my work that is stolen by OTHER people. That's a huge buzzkill in itself. I know this is just a phase, and I hope by posting more, I grow out of it.
I am going to put these all behind the cutline, because there are a bunch of them, and I am going to take a page from margaretlane and post thumbnails. :3
You'll notice a couple themes with these sketches, and yes, I am going to complete the serieses(sp?) but I am not going to say what they are for. ^_~
And keep in mind some of these are DOODLE sketches, in that they are sloppy, misproportioned, and just plain messy.
Chibi Capricorn girl with a little flying piggie. ^^;
This is obviously first in a series with a western zodiac theme. Its a
surprise what its for. ^_~ She is more of an elf-girl with goat features than a
furry-style goat. ><
Chibi Pisces Merboi
ha-ha...this was an obviously easy one to translate.
Chibi Cancer Mermaid
Cancer is hard to translate, and keep the mermaid part, so I figured I would
give her crab puppets. I have already changed this one, so the scan is slightly
outdated. She is going to have a hair style similar to Washu's. Also, I am
trying to incorporate more crab-like features into her as well. I am keeping the
puppets for giggles. ^^;
January Carnation Faerie
The birth flower faerie series is a pretty ambitious project, but I want
these to be my best work ever. I want each fae to have a different look,
personality and feel. While trying to keep them consistent enough to look like
they are from the same universe.
February Violet Faerie
She was hard to draw. >< Her legs went thru many stages, of which some are
still visible as impressions on the paper. ^^;
March Daffodil Faerie
So far, this is my fave of them. I wanted her to have a playful, spunky look.

Pete's Tattoo
My brother is going to tattoo this on his calf. He told me what he wanted and
I drew it. Its based on an old Ryoko drawing I did, which was based on a pinup I
had seen.
Autumn's Tattoo
This is for my sis's friend, Autumn. She wanted a Faerie wearing big Dr.
Martin's. She said long blonde hair in a pony tail and the boots. I had free
reign for everything else.
Demon Fae
This was the last thing I drew before moving to Colorado. I inked after being
here a few weeks. I'm not sure what inspired it, or how I will finish it. I
inked it on Bristol, with the intention of coloring it with Markers, but I'm
unsure still.
Chuunin Delia
yeah, I couldn't resist. I LOVE the Naruto series and it makes me want to be
a ninja in the worst way. Since I am slightly older than 12 (haha) I drew myself
as a Chuunin. The costume was pretty difficult to draw, because I was unsure
what I wanted. But I like this look. Also, divingsiren...if you are reading this, let
me know how your ninja self would look. For the DA kiriban, I'm going to draw
you as a ninja. ^_^
