I never thought I would use this.

...but it turns out that since I first got an LJ as an emo weaboo (pre?)teen, things have changed and communities can actually be good places to get news on things or discuss said news. But it turns out you sometimes ~need an active journal~, I'd have thought to show you're a bot or something but maybe it's more to show that you're not like me and you... are... active, I guess.

So here.

I am active.

Or not.

But most of the time, I don't feel the need to say anything. I got a Twitter, monologued in it for one day, and am putting off using it to ask questions of, say, actual novel writers. And I'll happily recount my day for friends elsewhere when it's stuff they might actually be interested in. But what else would I post here - I don't feel the need to compulsively share things about myself. Monologue, yes! I'm doing it now! But I sort of need a topic and motivation and generally, I have neither.

Oh, I guess I could post fanfiction or something, but I have an FF.net account for that, it counts a lot more than LJ stuff, I get to remain ~anonymous~, and I haven't even written anything for it in over a year anyway, so what's the point?

Huh, this ended up being a lot longer than most journals.

So.

Please let me join your groups! It's true that I don't usually have things to say, but sometimes I do. I'm not a spammer. I can type in proper English. I promise not to share things where I shouldn't (i.e. it doesn't leave my hard drive if it's a subbed video. Don't think I'm part of any groups like that yet, though), things like that, etc. etc. etc.

Time for a non sequitur.

:)
