During this time, Genma and Ranma made their way to Jusenkyo and took their fated plunges, Genma into the Spring of Drowned Panda and Ranma into the Spring of Drowned Girl. Now with the application of cold water, the pair would change into a Panda or a Girl and hot water would restore them. In the same instance that caused them to fall in, Ryouga was knocked into a spring as Ranma chased Genma, and was cursed with Spring of Drowned Piglet.
Ranma and Genma, after parting ways with Ryouga since he didn’t recognize Ranma, went with the guide to the Village of Amazons to find a cure, and happened on their annual tournament where Shampoo fought and won the feast. Unfortunately, Genma ate the entire first prize and Ranma decided that if she became champion, there was no ill will. So Shampoo fought him and Ranma one-shotted her off the log. Shampoo got up and gave Ranma a kiss on the cheek and the Guide freaked, stating it was the Kiss of Death.
Genma took that cue to flee and Shampoo chased after the pair, the pair eventually making it back to Japan. There, in the pouring rain, Genma let Ranma know about a fiancée that was waiting for him and despite Ranma downing the panda; Genma got up and whacked her with a sign. Then, he dragged Ranma to the Tendos where the initial shocked responses to “He’s a girl” elicited Akane, the youngest, to consider Ranma a friend cause she beat her so easily. No sooner than that happened that Ranma took a hot bath and Akane walked in on him, totally male.
After explaining, Soun said it wasn’t so bad and told Ranma to pick one. Nabiki and Kasumi railroaded Akane into being the fiancée and the pair tried to deny it and Ranma tried to leave to go back to China. Unfortunately he pissed off Akane who flattened him with the table. He woke up being tended to and told to take another bath to change back. This however caused Ranma to walk in on Akane as a girl and got slapped.
The next day, Ranma was told to go to school which set off another chain of events. Meeting Doctor Tofu, the local clinic owner who took sympathy to Ranma’s plight later on, provided hot water for him to change back. And then Ranma was witness to the mob that tried to beat up Akane for the right to date her, as instigated by Kuno. Ranma tried to bypass the whole tableau but Kuno in his self-deluded and pompous manner, demanded Ranma’s name. Ranma replied and said he was a guest. Kuno tried to attack Ranma but Ranma used the air pressure alone to write “FOOL” on his head in kanji.
Introduced to the class of Furinken High, Ranma’s life began with a frustrating notion that Kuno had managed to fall in love with his girl half, not even knowing her name and it didn’t help that Nabiki made it worse. Maniac adventures followed shortly afterwards as things started to come back to haunt him all the time. First off was Ryouga who managed to return from China and fought Ranma on the school grounds and in the fight, Ryouga “vanished” and a little black piglet soon found its way into Akane’s possession as her pet “P-Chan”. The fight also sheared off Akane’s hair and left her with a cute short haircut. From then on, a rivalry reignited itself.
Soon, another love interest-slash-rival appeared in the form of Kodachi Kuno, Takewaki Kuno’s little sister who was slightly demented. A user of poisons and tricks in what was known as Anything Goes Rhythmic Gymnastics; she ambushed Akane who was to be the team’s replacement. During this time, Ranma was roped into training her but Ryouga proved to be better at it, helping out with training Akane. But then, Akane sprained her ankle and a last-minute switch with Ranma-chan was used, sealing a reverse love-hate situation with yet another Kuno sibling. Kodachi wanted to kill Ranma-chan and marry Ranma-kun. The match ended with Akane pulverizing the team that was moving the ring and Ranma managed to ring-out Kodachi.
Soon, Shampoo finally came across Ranma and tried to kill her repeatedly until an accident dropped one of her bonbouri - steel ball mace - on her head. She got up and gave Ranma a Kiss of Marriage in guy form. Thus, Shampoo spent time trying to kill Ranma-onna and marry Ranma-kun. This went on until Ranma finally had enough and demonstrated his curse. Shampoo left, heartbroken.
Ranma’s fear of cats soon became known when one of the cats Kasumi was taking care of managed to make it within his line of sight, and Gosenkugi, one of the creepy guys who wanted to date Akane tried to use that against him. He held out admirably until he reverted to the Neko-ken and pretty much made mincemeat of the tiger as well as Genma. Only sleeping like a cat curled up on Akane’s lap snapped him out of it.
It was about then that Shampoo and her grandmother Cologne came over and tried to get Ranma to marry Shampoo by poking him with a Cat-Tongue Pressure Point that would sap his resistance to heat. Ranma couldn’t change back to a boy since anything remotely warm would feel like scalding to him. Depsite this, in an attempt to get the Phoenix Pill that was around Cologne’s hand, Cologne taught him a technique called the Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken, a technique that was designed initially to pluck chestnuts out of an open fire in order to teach speed. Ranma finally learned the move and refined it into an attack later on when he finally reclaimed the Phoenix Pill from Cologne.
During this time, Ryouga felt he was falling behind and went to Cologne for the strength to beat up Ranma. He learned the Breaking Point, a technique that could blow up anything or so the story went. The real advantage that Ryouga got was his near-invincibility from being toughened up by shrapnel of exploded rocks and being smashed by a giant boulder repeatedly. Ranma was only able to defeat him by applying the Amaguriken in a lightning fast combo in one point of the body. It was then discovered that the Breaking Point does not work on human beings, as it was instead a technique for miners and only worked on earth, soil, rock, brick and other inanimate objects.
More madcap adventures followed as Happosai, the shriveled and elderly teacher of Soun and Genma finally made his way back out from under the mountain they buried him in. Happosai turned out to be a powerful adversary but his complete and utter lechery did him in often to his own pummeling.
It was about this time that Mousse, one of the men of the Chinese Amazons came over and tried to turn Akane into a duck and kill Ranma. Mousse’s major problem however was his extreme short-sightedness as he often forgot to wear his glasses, but his hidden weapons technique was otherwise a well thought out technique that Ranma had a slight difficulty to deal with early on.
Ukyou came in soon afterwards as a student and challenged Ranma to a duel in the middle of the class, writing the challenge letter on Okonomiyaki. He recognized Ukyou as his friend Ucchan and was completely clueless of her female identity as he made a very pretty guy. Ukyou made an arena which was one big grill and Ranma had a few close encounters before managing to split Ukyou’s top open with an attack, revealing that she was a girl when he chased after him. Ranma however was obviously clueless and inquired if she fell into Jusenkyo too. Ukyou went on to opening a restaurant in the area, called Ucchan’s and continued to attend Furinkan High.
Late in the school year, Ranma got involved in a Romeo and Juliet production that finally had Akane as the lead role. Everyone but Ranma wanted to get involved, and due to the problems with the male cast trying to backstab each other to kiss Akane, it wound up in a wash as the entire production came down in a showdown and Ranma demonstrated his drunk-fu on everyone.
Soon after, Ryouga came with a map to the Japanese Nanniichuan, the Spring of Drowned Boy which was supposed to be under the girls’ locker room. Of course, this ended badly with breaking a water pipe and finding a note that read “The Japanese Nanniichuan has closed, please visit Jusenkyo”.
After a short showdown with a suitor for Ukyou named Tsubasa, Ryouga finds out that his dog Shirokuro had puppies, as this was his parents way to let him know how to go home. Ryouga got himself and Akane hopelessly lost but Ranma managed to steer them correctly, masquerading as Ryouga’s little sister. Seeing that Ryouga was really happy, he stayed as Ryouga’s sister for a little while longer before he wandered off again, the entire family having a horrible sense of direction.
During the early new year that began with both the Happo Fire Burst and the Super Soba Incident during New Years, Happosai was responsible for several adventures. He sealed Ranma with a moxibition point that sapped his strength, forcing Ranma to rely on his wits rather than his strength. Even when his rivals tried to kill him, Ryouga, his friend protected him stating Ranma was his alone. Despite this, they went about trying to beat the old lecher until they managed to undo the moxibition point. Ranma then went to Cologne who taught him a technique called the Soul of Ice, and ability that would cause a tornado to form from a spiral of hot and cold chi. Ranma unknowingly mastered this technique against Ryouga when his Amaguriken failed him. And with the help of friends, he managed to defeat Happosai and regain his strength.
Later on, Mao Mo Lin, a cat demon appeared after Shampoo gives Ranma a bell. He tries to get Akane to be his bridge and Shampoo, realizing her mistake, came to fight the cat. However, Ranma went and beat him up. The day after, Mao Mao Lin shows up, possesses Genma and Ranma flattens both his dad and Mao Mo Lin. During this time, Mao Mo Lin finally had enough and assumed his full form of a cat demon. Ranma went Neko-ken and completely massacred him. On the next day, Mao Mo Lin is trying to get girls to take his bell.
Having gotten a challenge letter, Ranma went to see Ryouga who was carrying a bunch of signs having being a dojo destroyer. He reveals that he had The Mark of the Battle God, which turned out to be a silly face painted on his abdomen. But it increased Ryouga’s power tenfold. Ryouga however was upset and wanted it off, but the only way to do so was to beat him and attacks didn’t work on him. So Ranma promised to help get the mark of as much as possible. Through a series of tricks and progressive incidents, he managed to tag Ryouga once which made the mark dissipate in time.
Later on, Kuno traveled to a place where the Wishbringer sword was located, a sword that could free the cursed people of their curses. Ranma went out on a date with Kuno in order to try and get him to wish them the curses off them, but Kuno misunderstood and made the wrong wish.
Soon, near the end of Ranma and Akane’s first year of high school, Ranma’s hair tie was stolen and he was in danger of loosing it from it growing out of control. However, the magic of the soup finally wore off just in time, leaving him with a fountain of hair that he keeps under a tiny tie. The dragon whisker is still worn around his hair.
It was about the spring of the next year when Kuno’s father, the semi-lunatic Principal Kuno came back to Furinkan and tried to incite his own rules based on a skewed love of Hawaii and haircuts. Ranma finally thwarted his plans despite them being outrageous and managed to get the man to stop his maniac schemes for the time being. Sure enough, the next day, the principal tried to instate a new haircut regime and got pummeled by the students.
Another challenger soon appeared in the form of the La Belle France school of Martial Arts Dining. Picolet Chardin was a man who could eat anything and quickly, a result of one of Soun’s incidents from back when. Taken to France, Ranma-chan went with him to train in the technique, having to wear an iron corset and was to be Picolet’s bride. Ranma, frustrated with the technique, finally figures out the technique and the iron corset falls off. It seems that the Parlay do Foie Gras was all about misdirection, and not about eating at all.
Having come home from France, Akane got upset with Ranma and Nabiki and when the balcony falls and Ranma catches Nabiki, she transfers the engagement to the middle sister. Nabiki decides to use Ranma as a source of money, auctioning him off initially and Nabiki, despite Soun insisting on Akane take him back, declares she loves Ranma. Ranma, concerned that Akane was unhappy, asks later on if she wants to be fiancés again. Finally, on a date, Ranma chases Nabiki into a maze and Ranma grabs Akane, tells her he loves her. Akane takes the bouquet and Ranma realizes where his heart finally lay. But he was still too stubborn to really demonstrate this.
Much later, after more misadventures, Pantyhose Taro attacks Mousse, Ryouga and Genma and it is revealed he stole the Jusenkyo client register which means he was going after Ranma. True enough, Ranma was attacked and Pantyhose kidnaps Akane. Through a series of misadventures and an epic fight against Ranma, he reveals why he is so angry against Happosai: Happosai gave him the name he hated. So to get back at Happosai, they go back to Nerima and stage a fight where Happosai was defeated and dropped into the ocean.
After the incident of Ukyou’s secret sauce, Ryouga suddenly appears out of the ground under Ranma and blasts him with the Shishi Hokodan - the Roaring Lion Bullet. Ryouga then carries a KOed Ranma home and Ranma emos for a while, trying to figure out where Ryouga surpassed him. The pair mutually decide to fight in one week, and Ranma who had figured out the technique already, was told to give up by Cologne as he couldn’t maintain the level of depression required for the technique. Ranma trained as hard as he could, but couldn’t make it work. However, after Genma tried to teach Ranma the Hell Hound Yell, his own special move, Ranma realized that he needed a DIFFERENT emotion. And just in time too as Ryouga figured out the Complete Shishi Hokodan and was ready. Ranma and Ryouga fight and Ranma, who had figured out that he needed confidence in order to win, defeated Ryouga with the Moko Takabisha - The Fierce Tiger Bullet.
Almost three months pass, each with their own adventures, a new teacher comes to Ranma’s school, a little girl named Hinako who has the power to absorb a battle aura from people and grow up into a full woman. She was taught this with semi-good intentions by Happosai, in order to regenerate her frail constitution. Ranma, wanting to know how she did it, went out with her and managed to defeat her powers by pressing five pressure points. Despite this, Hinako continued as their teacher and was somewhat of the best teacher in the school.
Soon after, Hinako became attracted to Soun, and wanted to go out with Soun. Soun, feeling it was too soon, tried to get Hinako to give up, especially since he had just gone through the hellish week that was the Cheerleading Contest. Soon though, Soun and Hinako were on a beach and she proposes to Soun, but Ranma knocks him out. Akane reminds her father of his dead wife and he remembers finally that it was their anniversary.
The relative peace that followed would be soon shattered by the arrival of Nodoka Saotome, Genma’s wife. After school, Ranma falls into the canal and Nodoka tries to help her out of it, falling in as well. They arrive at the home and Genma takes Ranma aside, telling them of the Seppuku Contract. Despite this, Ranma wants to meet his mother properly and Akane arranges a meeting between Nodoka and Ranma on Sunday. She then tells Ranma at school who is delighted. He goes, but Genma interferes. Nodoka only meets Ranma briefly before he saves her from a water main exploding.
A few weeks pass and Herb, a prince of the Musk Dynasty arrives seeking the monkey that fell into the water. Little did they know that said monkey did not fall in, and merely bounced off Ranma’s head when she feel in. A fight breaks out and they splash him with water from a Locking-Ladle which locks his curse in girl-form. Ryouga and Mousse follow in order to find the Open Water Kettle, the counter to the Locking Ladle. The fight takes them to Mount Horai where the three fight against Mint, Herb and Lime. In a spectacular showdown, they level Mount Horai and Ranma, Ryouga and Mousse are back in Nerima already, in the furo.
Soon, Akane sees a TV show about Ryugenzawa, a sanctuary for wild animals. She then gets a telephone call from the absent-minded boy named Shinnosuke and takes her to his home. He is able to remember Akane in the morning due to the water of the springs. However, the springs are drying up and Shinnosuke’s life could be in danger. They go there and unplug the spring, defeating the Orochi that lay there.
Another major point that came later on was the arrival of Ryu Kumon, a boy who was out looking for the Umisenken scroll in order to complete the techniques that Genma had leant to his father. The Silent Thief and the Noisy Thief were two parts of very powerful techniques Genma himself had developed and sealed away, but Genma had leant the scroll to Ryu’s father who died when he dropped the dojo on himself. Despite the silly moves and downright dirty tricks, Ranma learned the Umisenken in order to counter the Yamasenken and defeated Ryu. He then sealed both of the techniques away so they would not be used anymore and convinced Ryu to make his own school.
Months pass which turns into the end of the winter of the second year. Most notably, Nodoka has been visiting more regularly and has become more suspicious of the connection between Ranma and “Ranko Tendo” the youngest of the girls and cousin. It doesn’t help that Ranma had dealt with a Mirror Version of herself, having gazed into a magic mirror. Finally, Nodoka is reunited with her son and tears up the contract, having that Ranma is a man among men despite his curse.
She then decides to take Ranma home, and there is a short stay in the Saotome home where upon the fiancée brigade showing up. Nodoka then gives Ranma a gift to give to Akane and Nabiki identifies it as a engagement ring. Ranma is constantly trying to give it to her and after school; his mom catches him in female clothing. Nodoka then runs into Akane and Ranma is attacked by the fiancées and Kuno and in the melee, destroys the Saotome home. Nodoka and Ranma then move into the Tendos.
Finally, in February, the parents try to force Ranma and Akane into a wedding when Plum, the daughter of the Jusenkyo Guide arrives. She brings news that the Phoenix King Saffron is in Nerima and is looking for them. Unbeknown to them, Saffron is enslaved by the Phoenix people and steals the portions of the map. They leave for China and Ranma and company head out to China.
Ranma and his friends managed to make it to Mount Phoenix, and from there, managed to claim the Kinjakan, a magical staff of fire. However, during this time, Akane is kidnapped and Akane and Kiima fight at Jusenkyo, where Akane falls into an un-imprinted spring known as Akaneniichuan. They find the fake Akane while the real one is imprisoned in Jusendo Mountain. In a titanic struggle with the half-ascended Saffron, Ranma kills him, reverted to an egg and Akane is revived. They go back to Jusenkyo and find it flooded the waters mixed and unable to recede for years. They go back and the adults try to get them married again which end in disastrous results.
Despite this, Ranma and Akane finally found what they were looking for, and a medium of trust began to grow between them.
Months grow into one and a half years again, and Ranma is to find a place to study in order to continue his education in college. However, because his troubles follow him, he returns home to what he has known where his heart lay after a series of misadventures that involves several prominent people of that timeframe (and anime setting). Headed first into the north of the Nerima Ward, Ranma tried getting a place with Kyasaku and his son Ryunousuke and daughter Atsuko. An encounter with a Mishima Heavy Industries Attack Chopper quickly ended this short lived stay, and Ranma continued on his way in order to find a place to study.
Two days later after dealing with the antics of Ryo Saeba the famed City Hunter and Megapervert, he went to the Juuban district where a friend referred him to stay at, this friend being Hino, the owner of the Hino Shrine, and the friend who referred Ranma there being Tenchi’s Grandfather. His visit lasted less than a half hour when Rei walked in on Ranma while changing from girl to boy, and Rei chased him out which lead to a short battle with the Sailor Senshi, and hiding in a bathroom.
After escaping them, he arrived in Shinjuku and visited an old friend’s bakery, the Matsuda Bakery. Ranma had experienced the D-Reaper incident as with many people less than a half a year ago after the failed wedding, and he had met the Matsuda’s previously during his 10 year training trip. After getting some bread, staying the night and the fiancée brigade appearing, he left, going south to Hinata City.
There, he was unable to convince both Keitaro Urashima and his old friend Kitsune to let him stay, as Motoko had walked in on him in the bath. She then gave him an address of another shrine in the area. This lead him to the Higurashi Temple, and he stayed for all of ten minutes as he was frightened out of the house by the family cat Buyo.
After given directions to another place in Nekomi Tech, the fiancée brigade was on his heels and soon, Ranma had to leave his new place once more in order to stay one step ahead of the others. Frustrated, he headed towards the direction of Graviton City by way of Domino, staying a short time in Ryo Bakura’s home, another person whom he met during the training trip. Bidding goodbye the day after, he headed to Graviton where he couldn’t find a place to stay, as prices were far too expensive.
Coming out of the city, he met up with a familiar face, Kentaro Oe, and hitched a ride to a district just outside of Tokyo where he managed to get a few good days applying for school by staying with Sonomi Daidouji, an old friend of Kentaro. There he met Tomoyo, Sonomi’s daughter (and coincidentally, Kentaro’s as well), and her friend Sakura who told him that he had a long road ahead of him. Bidding goodbye after he was unable to apply for school locally, he returned to Nerima where he announced he was back home.
After returning home to Nerima, Ranma proceeded to continue applying for schools across Japan, finally settling for a Distance Education as his life in Nerima often kept him too busy to commute to college every day. He decided early on that he would become a physical education teacher, as his strength lay in the Martial Arts. During this time, he kept in touch with his friends across Japan. During this time, he also went and visited several of them, the brigade always following his tracks. It is during one of these visits to Hinata City that Seta, one of Keitaro’s friends and mentor, told him of a place that would allow him to study distance and then take his practicum in teaching. Ranma accepted, and soon was given a package with the header of “Mahora All-Girls Academy” on it.
Ranma decided it was a great opportunity and when he went to visit the campus, he was told that he would be admitted as a student teacher for a duration of six months come the spring. It was on this day that he prepared to go out and meet his new class when he stepped through a door, and into the digital world.
Note: The Expanded History Section has its basis in a fiction known as Searching, a fic intended to crossover with multiple series and demonstrate Ranma’s loyalty to his family at the core of it. In short, he knows many people. However this universe has no bearing on the Element Series.
Character personality- Ranma Saotome started off as a brash character, one who was willing to brush off people and speak whatever he felt like. He is very direct and very much a masculine persona despite his cold-water gender swapping. Years have tempered his personality into a strong warrior, but one who is more open to new experiences and things, and learning that even manly men have a reason to cry once in a while. He is devoted to Akane who he has loved for years, and a fierce protector of friends and rivals alike. There’s nothing more than he’d like to drop everything for a good fight if it meant bettering himself and helping someone. As a student in a college physical education program, he is the top of the top, often giving a bit of dual perspective as one of the generation’s top ranked martial artists. Defeat only makes him stronger as any Round Two will inevitably result in him kicking your ass.
Ranma is a walking pillar of chaos. Things happen around him, not sane things, things that happen and spiral out of control like a convoluted whirlwind of disaster, hence the kanji for Wild in his name. Murphy has a grip on him so hard; it would rival the fact that he also has the added curse of “May You Live In Interesting Times” stamped all over his face.
Digimon personality- Agumon is an energetic kid, hyperactive, happy, all the things that Ranma was in the past. He is brash but honest, and gives off an aura of an ADHD kid powered by Red Bull. With a short attention span and an even shorter frame of mind, fighting is all he knows since he was raised in the gladiator circles of the Poyi Mountains from a young level before moving to the Ninja Town of Yukinari in Asuka. Agumon’s big love like all is food, and could easily rival some of the big eaters of the group. He also loves to learn new techniques and fighting skills, dependant on whatever he has the urge to learn. His goal in life is to learn as many fighting styles as possible and open his own dojo.
Character abilities- Gender Swapping - Due to a magical curse laid on him, Ranma can swap genders from girl to boy with the application of hot and cold water. Cold water turns him into a girl and hot water turns him back to normal. This also comes with the added condition that he is a walking example of Murphy’s Law as well as being a Water Magnet.
Neko-Ken - Cat Fist. A move that is generally unusual and completely stupid to learn, Ranma requires being frightened so much that he regresses to the mind of a cat. This gives him the power to shred things with chi claws which can cut through anything typically (possibly not battleship steel but he could scratch it), and generally acting like a cat. He can tell good from bad and can only snap out of it after sleeping on someone’s lap or get gender swapped.
Hidden Weapons Technique - Years of fighting Mousse, the master of the Hidden Weapons has lead to Ranma finally picking up a little of this technique. While nowhere near a master of the technique, it has become a staple for him to carry a few items in his clothing, such as a portable thermos for quick changes, his wallet and typically a change of clothing for both girl and guy forms. He can usually only keep it up for a couple of hours before it becomes itchy. Mousse on the other hand is a Master, and can carry hundreds of weapons, items, duck potty pans, several dozen spare glasses and even an entire cooler and cabinet set in his left sock. Needless to say, Ranma has yet to truly learn enough of this technique for it to be as effective, but it is a technique he needed to learn out of necessity.
Drunken Fist - Ranma is a natural at the Drunken Fist, or rather he would be if Genma hadn’t screwed up and forced him to learn it. However, his fighting prowess does go up depending on how much alcohol he or she consumes. Typically Ranma does not drink at all due to his forced lack of intolerance of the drink by Genma. However, Drunken Fist is an actual technique he knows.
Moko Takabisha - Fierce Tiger Bullet/lit. Fierce Tiger Overbearing. A move powered on confidence, Ranma channels his chi into his hands and fires it out as a golden sphere or beam of light. It was made directly to counter the Shishi Hokodan which is powered on depression. He also has a variant called Double Moko Takabisha which fires two blasts from his hands that have the same attack power.
Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken - Imperial Roasting Chestnuts in the Open Fire. A move originally designed to increase speed training, it was refined into a multi-hit attack at a hypersonic speed. Ranma is capable of doing this several times in a battle, and throws about several hundred punches so quickly that it looks like a single punch. Typically he holds this move in reserve, as well as the Moko Takabisha and the following last one, just because he prefers skill over flashy moves. Due to the nature of the roleplay, the speed and multitude of punches have been reduced to the equivalent of a Gao Rush.
Hiryu Shoten Ha - Flying Dragon Ascension Strike. Learned during the Moxibition Point, it causes Ranma to develop a Soul of Ice, a technique to devoid himself of emotion even in the fiercest battles. By cooling the air around him swiftly against a hot or angry opponent and drawing them into a spiral, he thrusts a fist into the air which creates a tornado which engulfs the opponent. However, the move is not particularly strong, but can throw an opponent around.
Hiryu Shoten Ha Revised Moves - Hiryu Korin Dan - Flying Dragon Descent Blast. The move is typically used when on the offensive instead of the defensive like the Hiryu Shoten Ha, in which a corkscrew of cold chi is blasted through a blaze or attack, causing a vertical tornado blast to form. This move was used against Herb, and leveled Mount Horai in its explosive force.
Sealed Moves - Umisenken - Sea of 1000 Fists/Way of the Silent Thief. The series of following moves really only are used to counter the Yamasenken but will be listed as follows.
Opening Move - the user takes a stance of a ghost, hands lip in front of their abdomen like a Japanese ghost. This stance is used to cloak their presence by hiding their spiritual and physical presence from the opponent, drawing their chi into a sort of concealing blanket around themselves in order to hide, and confuse senses and sight by forcing the opponent’s eyes to slide across the opponent, instead of being able to focus on them.
Gaito Retsuga Dan - A hand bite. Really, I’m not kidding.
Shichu Rakuchi Sei - After the former, the user drops to the ground, knocking the opponents legs open and sets up an attack for the next one.
Haku Dato Shin Sho - Multiple focused strikes to the back.
Goshin Ryusei Fu - The user wraps a star cloth around the opponents head.
Ringyo Honshin - After Goshin Ryusei Fu, he flips out of the hold to come back down, setting up for Haku Dato Shin Sho.
Hizan Tokai Tai - after Ringyo Honshin, the user stomps his feet into the opponents back while pulling down on the cloth, causing a choke effect. It’s essentially garroting without wire.
Goshin Dai Ryusei Fu - By wrapping a psychedelic-patterned bath towel around himself, the user may vanish from view quickly by hiding their chi as well as using the towel’s pattern to blend into the surroundings quickly for a duration of a couple of seconds.
And finally…
Yasha Tankai Ho - The requirement to use this one is using the Goshi Dai Ryusei Fu as a set up move. The action move is performed as follows:
The user of the Umisenken steals everything around him in about a twenty yard radius, items, clothing, etc, and then wraps everything into the cloth. While jumping, the user throws the towel down so that it opens up on the opponent, raining down every item upon the opponent and trapping them under the towel in order to prevent any movement.
As demonstrated by the latter techniques, these moves are all underhanded and pretty much are based on the moves of a sneak thief. And for the record, Ranma only knows one move from the Yamasenken since it’s more his style.
Kinjin Rashu Dan - The user sweeps his hands and arms forward as if pushing towards the door. This move launches a pair of high speed vacuum blades which will shear through typically foundation stone and wood. It may take off a limb if used in such a manner if aimed at a live target.
Sample RP- Ranma pushed the door to his classroom open and stopped and stared for a long moment at the China-like landscape that suddenly lay in front of himself. He turned around immediately in order to go back through the door but the door was no longer there. A frustrated expression crossed the younger Saotome’s face and he waggled his hand where the door was.
Empty air greeted him and he sighed hard. “Well then, looks like I’m on a quest and no one gave me warning this time.”
Looking around, he frowned, rubbed his head and sighed once more before heading into the wilderness. He hadn’t gotten far when a midget dinosaur bowled him over, chanting “You’re here, you’re here!” happily. Its voice was high pitched, almost similar to his girl voice but it was definitely a male voice. “I’m Agumon, and this is the digital world!”
“Agumon…? Any relation to Guilmon?” inquired Ranma, thinking about Takato and his digimon.
“Oh, you know about us already? Then that makes it easier! C’mon, the edge of Yukinari Village here in Asuka is close by!”
“Yukinari Village… what’s it like?” inquired Ranma, easily falling in step next to Agumon.
“It’s covered in snow, and ruled by one of our local patrons, the Miko Yukidarumon. It’s a land of ice and snow, strange because we’re not even near Meria!
Ranma paused at that, palmed his face and sighed. “Oh boy, cold water again?”
“Something wrong with cold water?” inquired Agumon. “Cold water is great to meditate in though!”
“Oh I know,” replied Ranma. “I just have a little problem with water…”
And on cue, the heavens opened up and a brief but fierce downpour literally crashed down upon the pair. Within seconds, the rain parted and Ranma flicked wet red bangs out of her face. “Like so,” she said, irritated that his Water Magnet-ness had proven him right once more.
“Woooooooowwowowowoww!” Exclaimed Agumon. “That was so cool, do it again? That’s better than any ninja trick I’ve seen before! I want to be a ninja. I’m a gladiator and all, but I can’t do any ninja stuff, that’s why I went to Yukinari in the first place! Can you do it again, can you, can you, huh huh huh?”
Ranma, despite her frustration with the localized rainstorm, decided to grin and bear it for now. Besides, the kid, or digimon, was actually kinda fun. “Sure, we’ll go and get some hot water.”

Reply
