Just a thought...

I've never really felt an interest in politics before this year, but with so much going on - I don't see how anyone could possibly remain apathetic. Apathy's what got us into this mess, what sunk us into eight long years of destruction. Destruction of our economy, our morale, our world allies, our reputation and respect.
So while watching the presidential debate last night, it was so clear.. the rift between the two candidates. The completely different views and morals, opinions on what is right and just - and it makes me excited. The world is changing for the better, people are becoming more aware - more rational. The day when decisions are no longer based on old superstitions and ideas of righteousness, differences between people, doesn't seem so far off anymore. I'm not saying religion is a bad thing, but it is a personal thing. Make decisions based on logic, and what is right with everyone's interests in mind - not just your own. Perhaps one day the Republican party will become something more than the party for white Christians, and I hope to see that day - really. When people put their own personal agendas aside and really start looking for the greater good... maybe some real ideas will come forth, and a true democracy with valid choices will be presented.

I don't know...

maybe I'm just taking the long way around of saying I hope within the next 20-30 years I really hope to not see any more crazy people like McCain and Palin that speak of scripture in a presidential debate O.o
