Anime Nebraskon? FUN. I had so much more fun this year than last, and from the looks of things, it's just going to get better. I got stopped for pictures, got called "Pops" by at least one person and had a total blast throwing my money away for those little Digimon trading figurines. (Pictures later, but I got Kudamon after the first try got me Gaomon, Raramon and Kamemon. DIGI WINS. ^o^) And that "Jumbo Digimon" MachGaogamon (
splash, you know which one that is) since they wouldn't take credit cards for purchases under 10 bucks. =_=
I felt kinda disappointed that my costume, to me, wasn't costume contest-material, but I had a rip-roaring good time watching the contest as part of the audience. Granted, some of the skits were kinda duddy (I clapped anyways), but some of the costumes were fantastic- the bellydancer with the hand-sewn costume and the dancing swords was the most beautiful thing the whole audience and judges had ever seen. *____* I'll see if I can hunt down pictures in the coming days.
Another year without the dance, though. The costume contest and concert in the ballroom ran long and my mom arrived before it began. But we agreed that I'd be picked up at 8:30 and that's just how it was. Besides, she got me a Frosty. :3
After this, I'm seriously considering going to
Naka-con. It's moved to Kansas City and my mom is always saying that she wants to take me to a KC anime convention, so I might put aside 50 bucks each month for it. And there's talk of moving Anime Nebraskon to the Civic Auditorium or a Holiday Inn convention hall here in downtown, so no hour-long drive to Lincoln. :D I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
Oh, yeah- school's done for the semester. \^O^/ Passed English Comp with flying colors, decided to take Microcomputer Fundimentals since Beginning Algebra's filled up for Winter, and hopefully my art score will still be really good. But for now, it's time to enjoy two whole weeks of nothing to do. *_*
