I was thinking about this pairing for a while, so I decided to try my hand at a Jyori short story. I know it's kind of a rare pairing involving some of the less popular characters, but I still think it's sweet.
Title: Sempai Cares.
Series: Adventure 02
Pairing: Jyori
Rating: R-ish (some hints at violence, as well as romantic musings.)
Author: Samantha (Animeleader4)
Synopsis: Unable to be as sharp at kendo with his Grandfather being gone, Iori is beaten in a street fight, and is discovered by a very worried certain Sempai.
Jyou's heart was racing. He had to make it home, he had to get the smaller boy in his arms medical attention. he wanted Iori to live, no, Jyou NEEDED his dear kouhai to open his eyes again. his mind was aflutter how Iori could get himself into this mess, why anyone would want to stab his dear Iori. Iori was bleeding, and Jyou tried everything to stop the bleeding. he wasn't prepared for this! He was still studying medicine! "Don't die on me, Iori-kun! your Sempai will make everything better, and then I'll call the authorities and get those....riffraff to explain why they'd dare mark you, poor, innocent Iori-kun, with their knife. Why didn't you run? Why?" Jyou said, as he finally got Iori inside, and managed to properly treat him, thankfully, the stab wasn't deep, and was easily treatable with Jyou's first aid kit.
Later that night, Iori had woken up, in Jyou's bed of all things. "Wha...What happened. All I remember was some punks tried to mug me, and I tried to defend myself, and then I felt something cold stick into me, and.....the rest is all black..." Iori said as he woke, dizzy. Jyou sternly faced Iori as he pulled up a chair. "Still with us? Good, you had me so worried. Why didn't you run, Iori-kun? or, at least, why didn't you cooperate with them? you could have called the police. your father was a police officer, wasn't he?" Jyou said, upset, wanting answers.
"I.....I don't want to run away. If I had just ran, or cooperated, they would've done the same thing to the next person they targeted. Dad would have wanted me to fight back. Same with Grandpa. I'd rather die fighting than let people walk over me, or ran away. I was trying to be brave like the others. Takeru-san wouldn't have ran or given up, either." Iori said.
Jyou looked at Iori for a while, and then started crying and hugged him. "I can't lose you." Jyou said. "You're young, and when your Grandfather passed, you have yet to get another Kendo master, right? you were going off what you allready knew, right?" Jyou asked. "Well....Yes." Iori replied, and then Jyou gave him a VERY stern look. "You were no match for them, then! I don't want you putting yourself in a fight you can't win! believe it or not, Takeru, Daisuke and the others, know when they need to run, too. no matter how tough you think you are, you can't beat a knife of a bullet." Jyou said. "I'll never forgive myself if I let you die." Jyou said.
Iori looked off and said "Why do you worry about me? you and Koushiro-sempai are the only ones who seem to have time for me anymore, with Grandpa gone. I had silly little crushes on both you and Koushiro-sempai, but I found out Koushiro-sempai was dating someone, and I assumed you wouldn't like me back either, if only for our vast age gap if anything." Iori said.
Jyou simply smiled and moved to Iori's back and hugged him from behind and whispered "I don't care, you're my precious Iori-kun, and I love you." Jyou whispered and kissed Iori's neck. Iori blushed and shivered. "I love you too, Jyou-sempai." Iori said as he turned his head to embrace Jyou's lips with his own.
I'm not very good at writing, but I hope someone enjoyed reading my attempt.
