“Ooh, what’s that?” Chibimon chirped, waving a paw at the sprig of mistletoe. “Can I eat it?”
Daisuke glanced up from where he was getting more and more tangled in golden tinsel. “You can’t eat that, it’s a decoration,” he explained.
“But you said the candy canes were decorations too, and you ate the whole box,” Chibimon squeaked, eyeing the mistletoe forlornly.
“So that’s where they all went,” Takeru muttered as Daisuke quickly averted his eyes.
Chibimon flopped down onto the floor, looking confused. “I don’t understand,” he sighed.
“Well, it’s a different kind of decoration,” Daisuke said with a wink. “It has magic powers.”
That perked the young Digimon up. “Magic powers?” he repeated, eyes sparkling.
“Yep,” Daisuke grinned. “Like the power to get Hikari to kiss me.”
“How does it do that?” Chibimon gasped, looking at the mistletoe with awe.
Takeru picked up the mistletoe and held it over Daisuke’s head. “Like this,” he said with a broad smile, and he leaned forward and pressed his lips against Daisuke’s mouth.
Chibimon blinked at them, looking from the seemingly innocent mistletoe to Takeru’s smirk to Daisuke’s wide eyes, and smiled in understanding. “I get it,” he cried, bouncing up and down in excitement. “It has the power to turn Daisuke’s face bright red!”
