Title: Sparks of a First Kiss

Note: I blame the Digimon manga that I have. I was leafing through it when I came to this one scene and made me wonder.

Their first interaction came after the incident involving IceDevimon, when the fox Digimon inquired how to become stronger. Why what she was doing did not seem to work. His only answer was that her and Ruki's relationship was not as solid as his and Terriermon's. Unsatisfied, she left.
Sometime later, after the Harpymon intervention, did she bring Jenrya back to the park, only this time, instead of asking how to become stronger, she engaged him in small talk, trying not to say two little words to show her gratitude. He seemed to sense this and continued on with the small talk.
As their late night talks magnified, everyone could tell there was something up with the Oriental boy, and Ruki seemed to wonder where Renamon went off to on a daily basis, not that she cared of course. During fights, Renamon and Jenrya would give each other a look that the others would miss, and that night; they would be back at the park, talking till it was unreasonable for the young boy to be out.
One night, after a fierce battle left both Digimon and Tamers wounded, a nod from Renamon notified Jenrya that they would be no meetings at the park. The young blue head needed his rest. When Ruki noticed her partner still in the shadows of her room, she became overly suspicious. Renamon kept quiet through the night, deep in her thoughts as odd feelings clouded her judgment.
It wasn't till a few weeks later, that Ruki finally followed the vixen towards Shinjuku Park. There, she witnessed the sparks of a first kiss.
