...Well, when a human boy has certain feelings for another human then...hmmm...was there ever a really pretty digimon that you really, really liked? That you wanted to spend the rest of your life with or mate with? That's very similar to how Takato feels about Juri. Meaning that if he knows she's in danger he'll panic and run to her rescue to be her hero and hopefully win her affections.
