BRING BACK SCRABULOUS!
what a way to start my tuesday morning. i login to facebook this morning to plot and plan my next moves against several friends i'm playing games of scrabulous with and receive this message:
"Scrabulous is disabled for US and Canadian users until further notice. If you would like to stay informed about developments in this matter, please click here."
"what?" i actually said out loud leading to several odd stares from the surrounding cubes. i couldn't believe it, especially since i had just made a move against my buddy a mere 6 hours earlier. then this afternoon i see this article on the msnbc homepage. *sigh* let the deep depression begin. it's only been 5 hours since i discovered scrabulous has been ripped away and already i'm in withdrawal. i was completely addicted to that game. in fact so addicted that i had a minimum of 4 games going at any 1 time. what am i going to do?
if hasbro was smart they would figure out some sort of agreement w/the agarwalla brothers and bring the game back, just under the proper terms. i mean come on, the game had over 500,000 daily users. how could you not? and i know i know, copyright infringement, blah blah blah. i've heard it over and over again and i understand why the game was wrong. i just don't understand why they won't figure out a way to bring it back, legally, to the masses.
