Long day was long. I spent A LOT of time last night going over my debate, so I'm just about ready to fall over and fall asleep. Regardless. :D Glee stuff. I think I'm gonna do something next week too, and HOPEFULLY after hiatus. Not a review or anything, but just my own little fan-rants?
Alright! So this was it - THE episode. Shit went down. Can I say how much my heart broke for Will when he found out Terri was faking the pregnancy? I loved that all it took was the fake belly thing in her drawer for him to connect the dots. If he does not divorce her, I'd be surprised. Even with what Emma said - this looks like the end for them, and I'm glad. The relationship is NOT healthy. Not for Will or and I can't believe I'm saying this Terri. He needs to feel like he's happy about something, which she won't let him do, and she needs to be...herself, which Will can't let her do. He loves the girl he met in high school, as she said, and she needs to feel like she's the most important one.
But a little more on them later.
General comments: This school defacing Glee Club school pictures is not cool, man. :| Not cool at all. On the Glee comm, I'm seeing some comments about how people hated that the rest of the Glee Club was so quick to offer Rachel up as one of the soul two getting a picture taken because, well, that means she'd get the brunt of the mocking. I didn't put this together when watching the episode, and it really does dishearten me a little (but I have hope that in the next episode after MORE secrets inevitably come out and without their lovable teacher mentor the kids will all have to ban together and Rachel will finally get a freakin' friend). Regardless. Rachel marching into Figgins' office and her following internal monologue? Oh, that girl is so crazy and I love it. Black Student Union, ha.
I wonder if Rachel went to all the members asking them to be co-captains and we only saw those four attempts, or if that's all she tried. Because if I were her, I would much sooner ask Tina than Mercedes, considering Mercedes and Kurt are bffs and I don't think she's on good terms with Kurt after the last episode ("Gay-Les-Ball" aside, pffft). Anyway. The Lily Allen Smile was so cute. Rachel sounded a bit odd, but she was adorable when playing around with Finn. The TICKLING. Seriously, I may need to watch that scene a few more times just to see if it gives me cavities. I thought someone was going to walk in on them when they were being...well, awfully close for two people who aren't supposed to be involved, but cutting to the football team being douches to Finn was a better way of doing that. Jeez, guys. Stop being such jerks and go back to dancing Single Ladies. Another moment of wanting to hug Rachel when Finn didn't show up for the picture. She SINGS TO HERSELF to calm her mind. That's adorable and sad at the same time. Get this girl a friiiiend.
Though I must admit, her "I can cry on demand" just broke me up. And her long list of what she could do - always the go-getter.
:D Mattress commercials are cool now? Okay, sweet! Glee kids happy about this, I'm dooown with it. they could have thanked Rachel but I'm not going to dwell on it in fear of sounding like a crazed fangirl The actual performance was full of love and happiness. Going to put it on my "rewatch for diabetes" list. They all looked like they were having so much fun...
And then to Will, ha. As I said earlier, it's about time. But damn, he looked TERRIFYING. I was almost afraid he would hurt Terri, because...man, he looked ready to kill something. Sleeping alone in the school? BAW. And the fact that he just wanted to use one of the mattresses is what gets him removed as the adviser (for now, please, only for now)? EVEN MORE BAW. I wanted the Gleeks to just walk up to him at the end and give him A GIANT GROUP HUG OF AWESOME. I mean, even Sue seemed a little bit shocked (at first, then she went back to being well Sue). They all need to get in a big hug and Will needs to adopt all of them with Emma (omg, preview, Emma as the chaperon? What about her wedding, aaaah) as the OCD mommy and then they can also all adopt Drizzle and be a big happy family. I WANT IT.
Quinn deserves a shout out for being AWESOME and finally truly accepting her Gleek status and SIMULTANEOUSLY TELLING SUE OFF. Tell her, girl! You don't need the Cheerios, you just need to be one big happy dysfunctional singing family with the Glee Club! Her way of getting the picture for the Glee Club was awesome - and really heartwarming. The kids don't care about the pictures being defaced anymore, because they all have each other. It's nice.
And last scene. Oh, how much did you make me wibble? The lyrical dissonance over the last part of it with the dick football players, everyone being all happy after the picture, Will smiling at his kids REGARDLESS of the fact that he wasn't in there with them. I kinda skipped over Will telling the group he can't go with them to Sectionals because baaaaw, it was just perfect. That group hug I wanted? Would've been nice there, since most of them looked ready to break.
And now. The preview for next week. One more week. I don't get why Rachel's telling Quinn she can hit her (maybe because in the chaos it comes out that she and Finn kissed two times?) - I would've thought if anything Rachel would be the one going off at Quinn for stringing Finn along. I know it's all going to come out - and wow, Finn punches someone, probably Puck - but I'm curious as to the reactions, what happens, etc. Will-Emma-Ken is finally coming to a head; go, Emma! Follow your heart - it'll be better for Ken too, poor man.
EDIT: Oh, though it still all ended like crazy, I'm so happy the club didn't blame Rachel for the whole thing with the commercial. I thought that's what they were going to do and it would've pissed me off - but there was no Rachel-blaming! Yay! Does this mean my fantasy is getting closer to coming true? Dysfunctional family, y/y/pi?
