Alright! Tonight was awesome! Glee and Alien Swarm? HERE COMES SPOILER CUT. Highlight the white to read~

Alien Swarm: Alright, so it's pretty obvious this comes after the next few episodes, since for one Kevin seems to be normal and for another OMGWTF SUPER SECRET HEADQUARTERS OF AWESOME WHUT. But I assume a lot will make more sense later. Lack of Julie kind of made me frown, buuuut let's hope that means she's not being written off for Evolution (which would suck). But to the story! Effects are BEAUTIFUL. Seriously, Big Chill and Humongasaur were pretty. Every time Ben spoke, I heard Yuri Lowenthawl. That was pretty amazing. I couldn't really connect the life-action Ben and Gwen to the characters in the last movie, but this the one seems like they're all in sync. :)

Just the banter in general between the characters made me smile. I enjoyed the movie, and it sets up for a more broad-scale Plumber organization like what I think Evolution will have.

And Glee!

On to Glee! Aight, so. My Quinn/Puck fangirl was totally feeling this episode until the whole "sexting" thing. :| Not cool, Puck. Hopefully the fangirls won't still parade him around as God's gift to women; he's got flaws and I like him, but that was a bit too much. And Quinn, girl. Seriously, TELL FINN. I teared up for her when she hugged Will and was all "he'll be a good father" but she has to know this won't end well. She can't possibly keep the whole baby drama a secret. If anything, it'll come out when Terri's does (WILL GROW A CLUE).

Before my little rant: If those two other schools use McKinley's setlist and cheat, I will just KILL something. This is not because I want to hear Don't Stop Believing again. Nope. Not at all.

On to the second part of our love pentagon! After Lean on Me in the last episode, I was so feeling a Kurt/Rachel friendship. Seriously, when they were all buddy-buddy, I thought "HEY, AFTER WHEELS THEY ACTUALLY MADE UP" but it looks like... :( Well, at least Rachel probably thought they did too, with her heartbreaking "I thought we were friends!" line. I understand that Rachel's got her flaws too, but people who hate her for "taking" all the solos bug me. Yeah, I wanna hear others more too, but Rachel's not as bad as some people make her out to be. The fact that she STILL has no friends really makes me ache for her, and Quinn and Kurt used that. Even before she told Kurt she had eyes for Finn, he was being really mean to her. Yeah, she does and says things that make me facepalm sometimes, but Kurt's a bit of a bitch too. I love the boy, but really, Kurt, you should probably know by now that...Finn's extremely straight. He's not going to go with you, so sabotaging Rachel won't do anything. Hell, if Quinn wasn't pregnant and Finn didn't think the baby was his, Rachel and Finn probably would've hooked up already.

Rachel really NEEDED to tell Kurt off, and if the fandom gets on her for doing that I'll be unhappy. Especially since at the end even though Kurt pretty much tried to kill her chances with Finn -- not possible, he totally still likes her -- she still smiled a little at him and waved when she saw him looking equally down on Finn and Quinn still being together. She wants friends so badly she's willing to overlook that. I may be looking through Rachel-colored glasses because I love the girl (she's like a little kitten D:), but even I can take a step back and accept when she's done something a little bit outrageous or crazy (like walking out on the Glee Club because Tina got a solo she wanted). Rachel's gotten much better since. Whenever someone tells her off, though, for things that she's starting to rise above, they get praised. I love Kurt, as I said, but I can totally see he did something wrong here. No character should be a pedestal, but Kurt's been put on one. And maybe I'm putting Rachel on one, but I seriously think she's changing. In a show where status quo is God, she seems to be one of the characters who's actually GETTING something from all this.

...On a positive note. After Ballads, it really made me smile to see Mr. Schue and Rachel actually agreeing on stuff - or at least talking to each other and taking advice and whatnot. Who says nothing moves forward? The scenes of them just being casual made me smile. Will would be such an epic dad.

Alright, my tl;dr rant is done! Spoilers totally abound. I'll make it blend in with the post for anyone (lol, hi Car!) who watches Glee and doesn't want to read it~

I am somewhat crying on the inside, though, because two episodes left and then HI FOUR MONTH HIATUS. Seriously, April 13th? Pushing it back for - I can only assume - American Idol? :| AUGH, hatred. American Idol, Die in a Fire.

Now, 'scuse me, I'm off to transfer some money to my credit card so I can get a paid account. Glee icons, yes.

cartoon: ben 10, general musings, obsession is a fickle thing, tv show: glee, rant rant rant rant ahhhhh!
