OKAY. So it's probably finally time to share my Degrassi-related thoughts. Let's start shortest to longest, though this is all going to be relatively short.

Wesley is an A+ character. I seriously LOVE him, with how great he is, but I'm worried that he forgave Dave too easily. The dude TASED him. And...well, Dave is like Alli; it took something serious for her to really commit to changing -- and keep in mind absolutely nothing happened with the catalyst to Alli's change. She did nothing, got consequences. Dave steals his dad's taser, hits his best friend with it, and...nothing? I guess I don't have much faith in Dave nowadays. I'm worried he'll take nothing away from this, and poor Wes will pay the price.

Adam and Fiona. Adam and Fiona. Every little look. Their chemistry is great, and I love how Adam first went to talk to her for Drew, even though it was obvious he liked the way she looked -- THEN THEY TALKED AND CHEMISTRY ABOUNDS. She totally likes him. And can I say Drew surprised me? I was absolutely ready to DESPISE HIM from how they made the promos look -- like he outright with no provocation said Adam wasn't a guy rather than Adam insisting he say what the little thought was, like he told Fiona about Adam's secret out of spite -- but no. He was an a-class brother. Though he's been a douche regarding...anything to do with Alli or girls in general, he has proven himself to be a good bro through and through, and his backing off for Adam and Fiona in the end, realizing she wasn't just a prize to be won? Maybe there's hope for him after all. Next week will be great, I can tell they're setting up for a big Adam/Fiona plot and I'm excited. Her finding out about him being trans will be...interesting, that's for sure, but I'm praying she takes it well when she eventually discovers it.

Eli and Clare. I feel like the minority in saying I liked that both episodes focused on, basically, different issues. They bled together for me, and I'm sure if people watched both episodes back-to-back, they'd say the same. It didn't feel random; it was Eli and Clare, focusing on the issues that they have, and finding comfort in each other. Aislinn continues to blow me away with her acting, and I will admit I probably connect to her plot more than others (though again, my parental issues NEVER went as far as hers have), but regardless, I can see nothing but great things from this girl. First scene in Part 1? Teeeears. I understand her connecting her dad's watch to her childhood, really; anything, ANYTHING can represent a strong memory, and it was something she wanted to hold on to, and then she gave it to Eli to try and give it a secure place, since she felt safe with him.

Munro, however, surprised me entirely; that is not to say that I didn't know he is a great actor. "All Falls Down" showed me that. "Try Honesty" showed me that. Heck, even certain episodes of The Latest Buzz showed me that (Wilder's speech about Amanda... ;; ) -- but GOD, he brought me to tears even more than Aislinn. And considering I can connect with Clare's plot and not his entirely, THAT is something. Amazed that we sort of called the hoarding plot on FanForums. I wasn't buying it entirely, but...I guess I didn't know how serious it could get. The way his hands shook when he was talking about it? And HIS FACE, GOD. I know I'll cry again if I try and watch it. Regardless, I loved their hug (Fdsfjklejwijfdisa) and the last scene -- they don't need passionate kisses to be comfortable with each other. And I disagree with the idea (mostly given by haters) that they're both ~~automatically better~~ and Eli won't ever hoard again and Clare's fine and dandy with her parents divorce; they're finding an escape in each other, or at least a shoulder to cry on, which is what everyone does, isn't it? They are a support system. Eli's seriously got a long way to go, and, like his mom (WHO I LOVE BY THE WAY, GO CECE) said, there must be therapy.

Can I also say when he's digging through the trash and Clare's walking away -- his little MURMURS, "don't look at her, just don't look at her, be okay, it'll be okay--" stuff like that OH MY GOD STOP BREAKING MY HEART. Seeing how he connects throwing things out with forgetting/losing Julia's memory and how he said when he does it feels like he'll die or someone he loves will die and that line and-- god, it's obvious that he was connecting it with losing her at that moment. 'Scuse me while I tremble.

Maybe I'm biased because I ship both main couples in this episode like burning, but I LOVED "Umbrella." Plus, hearing "Tonight, I Love You" seriously made me start squealing -- my favorite new band with probably my favorite song by them representing Eli and Clare's relationship, just as I called? Oh my GOD YES.

...Man, I still need a Birth by Sleep post, but I'm at home and going to my high school play soon, so I don't have time to properly fangirl about it. I'll probably do that tonight.
