Bermuda, Bahama, Barbados?

Who goes to Barbados for Christmas? My parents, it seems. My little brother and I are staying - I requested very kindly that they bring him or me with them, whichever they preferred, but they did not grant my request. Unfortunately, it seems that the very bouncy 3rd year called Seth will also be staying over winter hols ( Read more... )

Barbados certainly is an interesting place to go for Christmas. My parents are being boring and going to visit family only about thirty minutes away.

I wouldn't know, of course, since they've decided to go without me and leave my little brother and his watergun here to keep me company in my Winter-holiday academic endeavors.

Oh. Watergun + little brother (in the winter) = not good. I feel your pain, though probably not as much.

Yeah - I think he's decided that it's his mission in life to make sure I don't do anything too productive. Or ever turn in my Potions essay, which he drenched when I was a little over halfway through with it.... Ink isn't as waterproof as you'd hope it would be. Draught charm got it readable, though.

That seems to be, from what I've heard, little siblings goal in life. Now, they especially have to get rid of the Potions essay becasue it causes the most stress. And they can't let their older sibling be relieved from stress for too long.

Yeah, my information seems to corroborate your findings. Oh, no, never, they have to mediate our stress levels, but still keep us on our toes. Otherwise, we might, you know, become mostly sane human beings.

Sane human beings? You must be insane. Siblings can never allow the other to be a sane human being. It's against all rules. I'm lucky. I'm away from my sister for most of the year.

That was my point: Siblings are here to keep us from becoming sane human beings. Perhaps they're just here to keep evolution in check. Don't want us to get too logical too fast. See, my little brother is at my school, in my house, and in my care as a prefect, so I'm like his brother and his mother all at once.

*shudders* I'd go insane... Well, I'm already going insane with the school work they're still giving us, but still. But yes, they must be here to keep something in check. Otherwise, I can't see any reason to have them.

I have a vague recollection of 3 very sane, peaceful and probably boring years of my life... they were pre-Seth. Yeah... though if he didn't destroy potions essays, I wouldnt really mind his antics so much - reminder not to take yourself too seriously.

Oh, I see what you mean. I actually have a sister more serious about school work than I am.

Really? Is she younger or older?

Older, actually. So I guess it's not too much of a surprise then.
