This icon is a quote from West Wing. Don't know if you know the show or not, but it's actually a humorous line in context. Still... couldn't resist using it. ;-)

I downloaded this because I too thought, "Wow, what a fantastic song choice." The song is definitely off the beaten path. The singers' voices aren't in any way similar, and the fact that they sing, for the most part in unison rather than harmony is very rare in a duet and puts a lot of people a bit off-balance even if they don't realize it. And yet, there's something about the song that just sucks you in and mesmerizes, keeping you increasingly transfixed the longer you listen. Can't break away.

Well, basically everything I just said about this song can be said for this ship. They're both pretty out there. From the very beginning, Kara/Lee has had this overriding, elusive, tragic element. And I love your edit. Just gorgeous. I'm not actually what you'd call a huge K/L fan. Actually, I'm not really all that much of a BSG fan in general anymore, but I'm a fan of this vid. Gorgeous work, thanks for sharing. :-)

I do know and love the West Wing, yes! Ah, and that quote makes me quite nostalgic. :)

I totally agree about the song; I saw it performed live on TV and it haunted me for days. It's true, when you think of 'duet' you think of two people singing to each other like a conversation, but here it's both more intimate than that and yet also more fractured, because they're singing *together*, but is it in harmony? And, unlike a more usual duet, are they actually listening to each other? So very K/L.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm happy that you could get so much out of the vid. :)
