again, not much to say - other than i had to have my mother's cat put down today

For what it's worth I think you did the right thing although it can't have been easy. I'm a firm believer in euthanasia and believe it's morally (and should be criminally) wrong and selfish to force a life to continue in incurable pain.

I just hope I can be brave enough to do the same thing if I need to for my cats.
