*Megan* Refuses to Drink Your Blood

So it's officially trip crunch time for that whole "going to Europe" thing. I should technically be at work right now, but I got a few hours off to clean my apartment. Whoopie.

Mojo doesn't know it yet, but this is his last day in the apartment for over a month. Tonight (late at night) I'm sneaking him into Dan's apartment. Pets aren't allowed there, but we've gotten the ok for him to watch Mojo on the condition that no one realize he's doing it. So tonight and tomorrow will be a test run to make sure Mojo doesn't suddenly become vocal in the new environment.

I'm not too worried about it,but if he does make noise, or insists on sitting in the windows it's going to be a huge problem. I was going to see if my parents would be able to watch him if Dan can't, but then I remembered how the last time I left a pet with them whilst going on vacation I returned to find it (Abby) had "mysteriously disappeared." Never to be seen again.

Besides that issue, I've got about 7 million little things to do, many of which I don't think I'm going to do after all. Canceling unnecessary utilities and memberships so I don't rack up those charges while I'm gone? Bottom of the list. I'd almost rather pay the normal monthly fees then embark on all those freaking phone calls.

At least it was nice out today (read: above 30), so I finally walked down to my real estate company and paid the next two months rent and got my vacation duly noted so I won't come back to an "abandoned" and therefore resold apartment.

I've pretty much given up on cleaning at this point. I got all the crap off the floor, and made sure to dispose of anything that could rot or otherwise become pungent, so I think I'll call that good.

I still need to pack, but I've got a sizable pile going and some lists to check off. I'd post some pictures of the weird stuff I've acquired (wrist wallet, for instance), but my camera cords are partially packed already.

I'm expecting tomorrow to be an absolute shit storm of things to do last minute before banks and things close, and Saturday will likely be nerve-destroying. But Sunday Mandy and I will finally board that plane to, well, Amsterdam, and all should be good by then.

Unless I forget and leave my passport in Omaha.
