So I know this isn't the most original topic and all, but I'm home alone and absolutely must, MUST complain to someone about this whole winter thing.
I'll keep it short: Fuck you winter.
Okay, maybe not that short. I just have to say, it was 55 degrees and sunny yesterday, and was so warm last night that Mojo stayed out all night and I didn't even attempt to dissuade him.
Today though, the temp dropped so rapidly after sunrise (backwards!!) that he found shelter with some of my neighbors, whom I later had to arrange a cat trade-off with (he refused to step on the ground, much less walk down the stair case and around the side of the building to my door).
I checked weather.com for this area, and now we're at 2 degrees. With a "feels like" of -20. That's a 53 degree drop in less than 24 hours! (75 degrees if you count the wind chill, which had no effect yesterday)
I was going to go out to get Europe shoes today, but I refuse to submit myself to this temperature. I've been playing Super Nintendo and eating chips all day instead.
And it didn't snow enough to count either. Crystal, have you been hearing what I've been hearing about how the later winter starts up here the worse and longer it'll be? That's what all the born-and-breed Nebraskans I hang out with say.
