*Megan* Enters the Pit

I assume I'll be updating this entry with frantic post scripts today, but I just wanted to report that the doomsday of major projects is upon us, and I have just had a breakthru.

To recap I have a normal paper, a research paper, a journal-proposal project, and a presentation today.

I have written a long but indeterminant amount of the research project, and while I need access to Word, it has flowed like some wonderfully runny thought from my head to the keyboard. I also find myself enthused to continue, as I have succeeded in wrapping myself in the topic, and mixing theories of ethics with religious history. It's bringing back the heady days of those first few philosophy classes, my academic adrenaline is pumped.

The breakthru I mentioned follows disaster yesterday, when I realized that my best and most coveted journal find was, *shock*, without the necessary article samples. I had til now just relied placidly on the little publisher link promising samples. Yesterday I clicked it, ready to print out some material for review, and lo and behold it linked to an address form. Mail? Who distributes information like that anymore? And do they send internationally, because that sparkly source is published in London.

It was a very sad revelation.

Just now, though, I have found confirmation that a previously marked off source is fitting and actually seems to match the one journal the library has already purchased in terms of scope. And? There are sample articles available as long as you register, which is free.

I'm currently awaiting my confirmation email, but I have three sources outlined. I could go in with that, but plan to solidify two more. 5 is a good number. Plus it'll limit how long I need to speak about each source, which is always a plus for those of us prone to sudden speech impediments.

Speaking of, I finally encountered someone with a real stutter. Not one of those fake impersonations, it was the real thing. And let me tell you, it was beautiful. That it came out in the middle of an acronym was unfortunate, but it was impressively interesting to hear.

I think my inner linguistic about shit herself.

That's a nice mental image to end on for now. I am off to find dressy cloths, then my coffee consumption is scheduled to begin.

As of this moment, I have been awake for 24 hrs, and plan at least another 14.

Edit: I want a nap.
