Now I’m not a homophobe and I don’t give a fuck if people are gay or not but I gotta tell this story anyway. So there is a 24 Hour Fitness next to Graceland (the venue we played). And we like to work out on tour and stay in shape after traveling all day. So before the show we all walked over there to work out before the show. We had no clue that there was a huge gay district in the area and that most of the people there were homosexuals. So after the work-out Synyster, Jason and myself head over to the locker room to take our showers. Of course they are those showers that have no curtains and no doors so you just gotta man up and take a shower in the open or just be smelly and dirty all day. So Synyster decides that he doesn’t give a fuck and that he’s gonna take a shower. As he walks down to the end where there is an open shower we notice every man in there staring at him with no shame and they are all butt naked. So this isn’t normal but we didn’t think much of it. Then a see a man walk buy in a little multi-colored thong talking very loud with a very strong lisp. Then I start noticing my surroundings more. Next a see a man in drag in the corner of the room putting on his wig… meanwhile he’s wearing a mini skirt with high heels, make up and a bra on. Jason and I can’t believe it. We are in the middle of a men’s locker room and everyone is totally flaming. Then the worst thing ever happens… Jason and I are standing there in disbelief and a man comes walking up staring us down butt naked and fully aroused. This man is walking around the locker room butt naked with a fuckin boner. At this point we packed our shit (no pun intended) so fast and got out of there as quickly as possible. It’s weird walking in the men’s locker room and feeling as though other guys are looking at you in that way. They don’t let guys in the girl’s locker room because they don’t want that sort of thing going on. So when gay men are all together and getting mixed in with straight men in a locker room, it was an experience that I won’t forget and never want to experience again. I’m just glad Synyster made it out of there alive.
