i love not caring
So, as we all know, in my last post I was all emo about being uncomfortable at the new bar, blah blah blah.
so, being a chameleon like i am, i've made a few adjustments. even better? they make my life easier.
I've lessened my makeup from 6 colors of eyeshadows to the basic 3 or four. My favorite, however, has been doing my hair... I straighten it, throw some hairspray in it, and say 'fuck it'. this alone makes my life easier.
also, i have a regular cab company that comes and picks me up. tonight, i asked if we could swing by mcdonalds.... sadly the guy had another fare, but he straight up called his boss and asked if we could go there first. this really impressed me, since a lot of ppl wouldn't do that. the bossman said no, but still - driver guy totally called and asked.
i'm glad i have a standing reservation with this company, because clearly they give a shit about their clients, and making deadlines. the driver apologized to me profusely, but you know what? he's got another fare, so NBD. If he had nothing else going on, it'd be different, but just the fact that he made that effort for me really impressed me.
plus, the night was light on girls, which i always like. due to the fact that there is no rent tomorrow, and a lot of girls are probably gonna no show due to the fireworks, etc.... I'm getting a gut feeling i should go in. Total, if I don't make a dime, I only lose $17 in paying for a taxi ($14 for the cab, 3 for the tip). I think it'll be worth my while.
