Wolf 10th Anniversary
It's finally here. The Wolf 10th Anniversary weekend. I was beginning to wonder last week if I was even going because work told me that I couldn't have Monday off - so may not be able to recover fully before going back on an early shift - and wasn't sure that I would have enough money to go anyway as the room rate if £78 per night.
Anyway, the event is from Friday through to Sunday and I had already booked my room months ago for all three nights. Last week I decided that I couldn't afford all three, and couldn't stay the Sunday anyway because of work, so rang to cancel the Friday and Sunday. Since then, I have been paid some money that I was owed and can now afford to go, and after posting on the Wolf messageboards it's possible that I may have a roomshare for the Friday night. Even if that falls through I will hopefully be able to blag some floorspace in someone else's room - failing that I'll find a nice comfy couch somewhere quite and sleep there. Not as if I haven't done that before at a convention :-)
I'm waiting for a callback from the possible roomshare, hopefully tonight, if not on my mobile tomorrow. Better make sure that I charge it up tonight!

Booked my rail ticket today. Getting the half past two from Peterborough to Heathrow Friday and coming back on the half past ten Sunday night - getting back to Peterborough around half past eleven. I'm sure a couple of hourse sleep Sunday night will be enough to refresh me for the joys of working 8am to 4.30 Monday.
