Ruth and I were out pretty late saturday night. We had a good time, but there were no straight, single guys at Ron'n'Danny's party. =\ I spent all sunday morning cleaning. I tackled that disgusting bathroom of ours and I got to use our swiffer XD I didn't have enough time to swiffer the whole house because I had to make it to practice.
Practice was awesome! A while ago I sent them all a midi of a riff that I've been working on. Mike loved it! He took it and played with it a bunch. He slowed it down and gave it a different rhythm, added some chords for a verse, and a vocal melody. It still kept the sexy feel that I wanted and it might actually make it on the album! I was so excited that everyone liked it, and if we can get words to it and finish it out, then it'll so make it into our live shows and possibly on the album. I'm so happy! I never thought I'd be able to actually write a song that fits with our sound. All the music I write is way different. But that's what's great about our sound! We like to mix it up with different styles and keep people guessing. So something a little sexy and funky isn't too out of place I suppose.
Lydia came over and we watched a movie called "Raising Victor Vargas". Good acting, but wtf story? Nothing too eventful, just a few days in the life of some kid in the city. And then I had Lydia watch "Love Actually" and she CRIED! She cried when Laura Linney's character couldn't get with the man she's been in love with since forever because of her brother. And she cried when Emma Thomspon's character found out that her husband (Alan Rickman) bought that neglace for the office ho. And she was bitching about the movie in the beginning. Talking about how slow it was and the story was confusing and it ALL turned around. At the end she was like "OH I LOVE THIS MOVIE, I HAVE TO BORROW IT!" And she told me how she got to hug Mariah Carey XD
I'm looking at another car. I need a bigger car before the weekend, so I can get all these people up for Tuba Christmas =\
