Why the hell isn't this snow melting?

Jan 09, 2010 14:36

I've had a pretty steady Saturday afternoon thus far. Except that I woke up not sick with what I was sick with over the holidays and then overcame for a few days, but with a new kind of sick. It could also have been that my first sick was dormant for a few days and has now resurfaced ready to kick my god damn chest/head area all over again.

You like that, don't you?

Also, this was supposed to be a longer entry with more of a point. I forgot I was writing it, smoked, and then forgot what it was going to be.

Also also, do you just sit there and keep hitting the refresh button? I just posted this. :P

The snow *is* melting, and as its melting, refreezing into ice. Have you tried car ice skating yet? Its a thrill.

Indeed, I have! When it was nice and fresh, too. I got to work from home yesterday because the roads were so bad. But then I realized my kitties had no food, so I had to run to the Kroger that's about a mile away from our apartment. Our neighborhood is on a steep hill (to the point of where if my car is on empty but the light isn't even on yet, I won't make it) and it was frozen in parts. When I was pulling back in, I didn't notice an iced over portion on the right side, so I didn't go over to the left and my car almost shot back down onto Pleasant Hill Rd.

It was terrifying. I managed to clear that portion and go over to the left and make it up the rest of the hill, but I burned a ton of rubber and it smelled awful.
