art, the woes of being an unofficial curator and pr dummy

So, my friend and MFA mate Dong Hee and I are curators for this small gallery space that we are now using as a place for our MFA group shows. In addition to being a graduate assistant/secretary and MFA student working on her thesis project, I am now a curator, pr writer and organizer. O.o

But omg, you're the curator, PR writer, and organizer. I did that for my senior year reading... It was horrible. I think all artists--be it with writing, drawing, or music--are all horrible with responding to emails D:

Honestly, they are great people in person -- all very nice and friendly and not clicky.

But trying to communicate with them via email is like trying to communicate with another species. It's like, they do not know how to read or hear. And these are COLLEGE level people. I feel like I am dealing with my five year old students. O.o

Oh, that's nice that they're nice! But that sometimes sucks more because you can't be a beezy to them when they are not communicative D:

That is exactly the problem. They will tick me off with their unreliability and then when I see them in person they are all kind and apologetic and I can't be mean to them, I just can't. So I am always like 'Oh, it's ok...' and yeah. lol. Completely useless.
