(no subject)
We have been in Edinburgh for almost the last week. It was a 4.5 hour train ride from London and we were totally blown away as soon as we got off the train.. this place is amazingly beautiful. Everywhere you look there is castles/monuments/statues/gardens. no two buildings are the same and nothing looks boring. (they have a huge tower the locals call the "gothic rocket" which is about a 2 min walk from our hostel.. heheh.)
Yesterday we got up at 6.45 and went on a coach tour up to the highlands and lochness(and all the other lochs around the area) it was great, took about 12 hours and was well worth it. i touched the water of lochness, but nessy wouldnt come to play! :P
we have today and tomorrow here and then we are catching the train, then ferry to dublin, it will take almost 11 hours to get there, but i am looking forward to it, i like the train.. you see so many cool things along the way and the ferry should be good too. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful, eager to give directions. London was great too, but there were pretty much NO ENGLISH there... anyone you asked for directions were tourists, heck we got asked for directions twice in our first two days in london.
anyway.. we have barely got out of the hostel today so we better be off.. will post pics when possible, cant put them on this comp.
