I haven't been in the swing scene for a long time but I was sad when I heard the news. I remember interviewing him for one of my radio production project when he was in Sydney and he was just lovely. :(

We were lucky. Just saying we knew sing meant that he always knew us. But I was a frankie stalker and went to all the camps he was at. Lennart knew him really personally as well so I would get second hand stories. I also tap danced with his son, chazz. It's funny his class was so hard I had to drop out and chazz just made fun of me ever since!!

I'm glad I've been in his classes and danced with him. He was the real deal. I remember he would always call us 'baby', no matter what girl spoke to him. Hehe.

Rest well, Frankie.
