Thoughts on Ron...

You know, while thinking about my eternal hate to Ron, I decided to have a look at my fave community. And what did I found?
That I have only one post, and it's not one I'm proud of!!!
I'm actually probably deleting that post, it gives me shivers that I was so weak when it came to stand up for my Ron hate...
I had to change that image of me in the community, especially given the fact that I never actually left.

So,
Last night, I was thinking about Ron. You know, about how stupid he is, how little his brains are, and such.
Well, then something came home to me.

People (read "Ron lovers") are always talking about how Ron is "so loyal" and how Ron-s biggest quality is all the "loyalty he's showed to Harry and Hermione" and whatnot.
And then...
An amazingly powerful light hit me and I realized something: Ron is not a loyal sidekick! Ron hasn't been showing his loyalty to Harry and/or Hermione, oh no, he's not that good.

The thing with Ron is, that he, HASN'T GOTTEN A CHANCE TO SHOW HOW NOT LOYAL HE IS!!!!

Think about it like this:
We don't know if Ron has been loyal to Harry these years, because, Ron hasn't gotten a real chance where said loyalty is tested.
Some may say that the "You'll have to kill us before you kill Harry" thing with Sirius is a proof of that loyalty, but I don't think that's valid.

Sirius had nothing to offer to Ron. He was actually, for all that it seemed, going to kill them anyway, so, Ron might have, as well, shown Harry that he was dying on his side.

I think it is unfair to proclaim Ron as the role model for loyalty all over, because I'm almost sure, that, given a good enough offer, he'd easily turn his back on Harry.
I firmly believe that Ron's top interests are himself, himself, and if he gets the time, himself. So, say that, at a moment in future books, Ron gets a real good offer to betray Harry.
Say, he's not only offered something of what - as he often takes care to remind to anyone who listens - he lacks. Say, a Firebolt, money, better Quidditch skills, fame... anything of that which Harry has and that (not very secretly, if you ask me) he envies.... In exchange for betraying the guy who "is his best friend" who is famous, rich, good at Quidditch, a good wizard, brave, and who, on top of all that... will get the girl, as Ron (poor git), perfectly well knows!
What reasons would Ron have to refuse such an offer...

Saying that Ron is loyal is a terrible lack of interpretation to what's written on the books, and a terrible lack of imagination at what may come...
Ron, he isn't loyal, Ron, he hasn't gotten a chance not to be.

And those, are two very different things!

LOL!
