This is the #1 thing I have bitched about all over the city of Boston. I had no idea this was going on until I moved here, since people in Maine dont wear anything besides jeans. Haha.
Leggings are NOT pants. The ones one the gal pictured at the top *could* be, since they are thick as hell and nothing would show through, and they also dont hug her so tight that you can see giny lips.
However... there are women here wearing thin cotton leggings as pants with no sweaters that hang past their waistlines to cover their butts or their fronts and it looks like this:
I know that the above case is extreme... but I see women ALL THE TIME wearing leggings, and I can see their ASS CELLULITE because the leggings hug it so tightly, and the prints of their undies, and all kinds of other horrific horseshit.

I'm far from old fashioned. But JESUS... cotton fucking leggings and thick cable knit tights are not pants... they are meant to be worn underneath dresses, skirts, or long tops that cover your bits!!!!!
there are tight pants style leggings and then there are things people think are leggings. I'm sick of the camel toes and innapropriate wearing of tights
Haha well I do see your point and totally agree but those ladies (if we can indeed call them that) have no dignity and would probably wear underpants as hats if they were told it was OK to do so.
Some leggings are made to be worn as pants, they're thicker and don't go see-through and don't bunch up inside your lady parts like cheap underwear.
Unfortunately 90% of girls who wear leggings as pants are idiots with no taste or style. Or are just too cheap to invest in some decent leggings. And it's them I shake my fist at!
