Massive photo dump! Global gatherin & Superheroes on a Budget!
So I went to Global gathering yesterday. I nearly couldn't because of the whole fiasco with those damn posters which meant I had to sell my ticket in order to pay for the reprint. I was sulking and crying all Saturday morning, when I got a call rom a firned who managed to get me a free ticket! It was just awesome, despite it pouring down with rain at one point and tuening the whole place into a muddy mess.
I spent most o the day with Angie and Rae as they wanted to see who I wanted to see and are always great to hang out with. We wandered for a bit at the start of the day but ultimately we watched Vinyl Slingers, Gorillaz Sound System (really fantastic, caught the end of Felix da Housecat and then saw Mark Ronson! OMG could I be any more in love with that man??! The who show was breathtaking and the is just so talented I could die. He played all his songs plus the songs of the artists who made up the Version Players (his backing band). I nearly cried when they played "Stop Me" with Daniel Merriwether (the last song, soooo good).

These guys rapped for a few of his songs (I think they were from Gorillaz Sound System), the one in the vest came down to the audience, right where we were and totally dry-humped my head. It was hilarious!
After that I went home and met up with my sister to go out for a few drinks and a dance. It was pretty hard since I'd been at a festival all day. Luckily I had the sense not to drink much during the day.
I was Awesome Girl, I pretty much just wore spandex, boots, a towel for my cape and undies on the outside. Anthony was Dr Zoidberg. It took a week to make the costume but it barely cost us a cent.
The there was the Hulk (who has limes for balls, don't ya know). he kept in character ALL night.
Ben was BATMANG (Mang is his nickname). It was his birthday and I was pretty impressed at how much effort he put into his costume.

Tamaryn was a ranga Ninja Turtle. She managed to squeeze into a costumed for three year olds!

God I am so bored. This "A Beautiful Mind" movie isn't very good. Quite boring in fact. I complain but man I love the occasional boring evening at home by myself. I should go clean my bedroom, which is the messiest it's probably ever been, but MEH I think I will lie on the couch bored by this movie instead.
