July Sephora purchase

I promised myself to indulge on makeup this year... this month is the month of HIGHLIGHTERS... I did some research and found a nice summer kit called "Sunkissed Glow Kit" that contains various makeup products to give you that summer look. Along with that kit I ordered some freebies (who doesn't love freebies?!?!)

I watched a few youtube videos on reviews/swatches and tutorials on this kit. This kit costs $54.00 CDN (not including tax) - because it's over $50.00 the shipping was free.
The attractive part of this kit is that it comes with two full size products (Charlotte Tilbury Eye Shadow Pencil and Tarte Liquid Eyeshadow).
The Charlotte Tilbury Eye Shadow Pencil retails for $34.00
The Tarte Liquid Eyeshadow retails for $29.00
With just two of these products at $63.00, you're already getting your money's worth, so the rest of the products in the kit are pretty much freebies (as they are mini size/trial size).
After watching the videos, I was most excited for the following:
Fenty bronzer (another product to contour)
Charlotte Tilbury eye shadow pencil (the colour is stunning and glittery)
Marc Jacobs highlighter (it's BLINDING and shiny - perfect for my upper cheek bones)
Becca highlighter (highlight bridge of my nose - perfect shine)
Tarte liquid eyeshadow (pigment is rich and perfect for the halo look on the eyelids)

The other products didn't excite me as much - but I am interested in trying them out... we'll see the outcome...

As for the freebies, I tested the Tom Ford perfume and the smell was very musky... I would see this frangrance on men rather than women.
I looked it up on google and it seems as though this perfume is for women, but many people had similar reviews as me and would prefer the smell on men... most say it's unisex. It's a little too strong and musky for me... I think I'll give it to my husband or JJ.

I haven't tried the primer yet, as I'm currently testing the Touch in Sol No Problem Primer that I purchased in June. So far it's good, but I'm leaning more towards the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer that I purchased in May. I found that one had better coverage.

I'm saving all my sample cleansers for the Mexico trip, so that I don't have to bring a bottle. One package can clean my face for 2-3 days... just a little dap and you can form a good foam lather...

I tried the Tatcha skin mist and it felt nice... gotta try it a few more times to really give a better review though

Didn't get the chance to try the Caudalie moisturizer... I need to start moisturizing my face now-a-days... my skin is THIRSTY!!!! As I'm aging, I can see the need for proper skin care now. I'm starting to take collagen pills. Many of my friends/relatives/family has been using this for years... but I just didn't feel I had the need. I promised myself to start taking better care of my skin and myself when I hit 40... well people, I'm turning 40 this September... so that means I gotta be more mindful of what I put inside myself and
on myself... time is not turning back and I gotta take better care of myself.
