My First Day
So today was my first day at my new job at Burncoat High School! I thought it went great! I think it'll be even better when I have my own office so that I will have a private area for my students. I feel like I'm impeding on Denise when she has students in crisis. Denise is the other clinician, but she works with the STEP program. She's been awesome to help me with learning new things, the system, the school, where the hell to go in the maze called Burncoat. Today my supervisor came to meet with me. Not only 5 minutes go by and "Mrs. St. John and Miss Russell please report to the nurses office." I'm like...um, I'll be back, kid in crisis. Of course no one would tell me what's going on until I got there. I ended up missing the time with Paul so he's coming back Friday during lunch (less of a chance of interruption).
Uh, so I didn't know pictures were gonna be today (retakes, groups/clubs, and staff retakes). So with no make up on and hair kinda frazzled I had my staff picture made, boooooo. Oh well, it killed time while I couldn't be in the office. I feel like the teacher's and I are already on board with each other. And the fact that they already called for me on the first day shows that they accept me already (which can be hard when an already establish class has been working for 3 months pretty much). The day just flew by. I can't believe I got home at 2:30, what is that? I felt like it really wasn't me, I was dreaming, there was no way I just lived that day, who's life is this? Can't be mine....really? I'm so happy I really can't describe it. I definatley can get used to this. I know I have a lot more to learn. Especially who's who, who is where, and what is where. But I'll get it. Soon it'll be like I know the place like the back of my hand.
Welp, I went to CVS, got home, cleaned the shed, moved the outside set into the shed, and hung out for a while before Philly came home. Made dinner, then we were off to Dad SJ's house for a little bit. We went to Target and I got a new phone!! I got the new Envy :-D I love it! I already put every's names/numbers in it. Selected some ringtones and backgrounds. It's awesome!
In all, frickin' awesome day. Now, gonna make a lunch, take the dog out and take a shower. I refuse to have chaos with Philly in the morning. We gotta wake up at the same time now! Today we didn't, but the rest of the week we will! Should be fun!
