death to radio

Dec 05, 2006 03:39

I'm feeling sick as hell so I can't guarantee anything close to coherence here but I've had a glimpse the last couple days something that needs to be done.....radio as we know it needs to die... why you ask... because of what it has become. it is just a corporate institution now, "play these 3 songs their record labels paid us" recycled plastic overproduced product of the undertalented. 1 fad change away from a format change and complete annihilation. Music isn't dead but its deeply wounded if we don't do something now we are doomed. all we will have left is a remastered 3 disk reissue of a nickelback pussycat dolls collaboration christmas cd produced by justin timberlake featuring some shitty emo band that can barely even play their intstruments but hits popular with the misunderstood frat boy and laguna beach craving general retarded masses and pressed on jay z's record label (I know this is another tangent completley but what the fuck happened to "I'm done that was my last album" is he trying to take the tupac route without getting shot ?) What can we do? how about stand outside clear channel broadcasting 10,000 deep and throwing radios to the ground to make them hear us, the dying species the music lover....radio as we know it must die and the only people who can do this are the muscians the fans the internet is our venue and we must use it wisely....this is all the ranting for now
