SO Ive been faffing around with my mamod, sorting out improvements to it to extend its running time and thought...ooooh lets do something whacky.
SO yeah...how about a Glyn Valley Tramway stylee Mamod? Built by Beyer, Peacock of Gorton in the 1880s....would be a really cool yet simple conversion for a basic Mamod engine - shin brass tank veneers with punched rivet detail for the upper valances and shin brass valances for the lower, extend the front buffer beam, acquire a bell for the cab, central "chopper" couplings, brass pipe for the condensors.......perhaps a new chimney or at least a brass cap for it.... and yes I know the GVT locomotives were 0 -4- 2s and the Mamod is an 0-4-0....maybe try and squeeze in a pony truck under the rear end (actually the locomotive's front end as they were designed to run cab frist to get maximum visibility)
