highlights of the trip to luang prabang:
-the driver and his cronies (of which there were three) loading as many people as could not possibly fit on the bus
-standing for about five hours because there was absolutely no place left to sit.
-the bus taking two wheels everytime we went around a curve
-at least there was no livestock
-stopping to let more people on, then having to wait twenty minutes longer while he tried to start the bus again
-hearing britney spears' toxic while watching the bright billboards of socialism pass by
-having a guy spit on my leg, and then try to clean it up with his hand
-guarding my bag of rice in the aisle viciously for the rest of the trip after it was vacated by an old woman
-getting ripped off when we got to luang prabang by a tuk tuk driver (only one of two in the station)
yes, all in all, it was a great trip.
