My brother got the flu a few days ago. Sadly, I now have it too. I wouldn't have minded too much, if my parents hadn't been all: 'Oh no, you can't do your exams with the flu.'
I was actually quite shocked to hear that come out of their mouths. In all the time I've known them (eh, eighteen years), they have never cared more about anything than my grades at school.
But there is absolutely no way that I have been busting my ass off this past MONTH for nothing. So I have my bag neatly packed upstairs, and tomorrow, when my parents are at work, I will take the train to college myself. It will just take me a while longer to get there without having someone drive me to the train station. (I have my drivers exam on February 11th :D)
Don't say it - I am such a rebel. Ha ha ha.
No, I have worked for this so hard, and I deserve to have it pay off. My exams finish on February first, and I'm sure I can stick it out until then without dropping dead in the auditorium.
In other news: yesterday, I finished another one of my Sookie Stackhouse novels, which my father so kindly ordered from Amazon for me (in a neat box set, too). I finished it in about a day and a half, in between studying. While I was reading, I noticed there was a lot going on that hadn't been mentioned in the previous book. I reckoned this was on purpose so I kept reading.
When I wanted to start the next book, I realized someone had turned my box set around, and I had picked the third book starting from the wrong side. (Things like this only happen to me, of course.) So now I am two books ahead, and I had to go back to the ones I missed, and now the whole storyline makes a whole of a lot more sense.
Ah yes, you wonder how someone like me could ever manage to do well at college. Surprisingly, I do.
I also reckoned it was time for some True Blood icons, since I have a secret teenage girl crush on Eric.
