Happy Birthday To Me!
Today is my 32nd birthday and also the begin of the Chinese New Year. I've followed the Chinese zodiac for a few years especially since my chinese zodiac sign fits me so much more than my western zodiac sign (Dragon as opposed to Aquarius). It's the year of the Ox and I'm hoping it will be a good year.
Over the weekend I took Emma to the dog park not too far from here. She seems to like the place though she isn't too fond of the ride in the car. The park is a nice big place, about an acre and it's totally fenced in. There are trees for shade and benches to sit and on the weekends it's a popular place. This weekend there were a good 15-20 dogs and Emma seemed to have a very good time. I also had a chance to see several breeds I hadn't seen before, one being a Shiba Inu. I knew of the dogs as I'm a fan of the Shiba6 videos online but I didn't realize how small the dogs are! The little male was tiny and his human mom says he's on the large side for the breed. I figured the dogs would be about Emma's size and she's a small/medium dog but this guy was smaller than that. He was a cutie though!
Mom and Grandma have been in Alexandria for the past few days and will be coming home tomorrow. It's always weird when they go because it's so quiet around the house with them gone. I try to enjoy the quiet time because I know it never lasts.
