I can see why people can get excited, and I know how 50 years ago black people had it pretty rough, because people didn't know better then, and people know better now, and yet, racism still exist, why, because even people don't always do what's right, so simply having a black president isn't going to change much. He is a much better speaker however, and I hope he does bring the changes he promised.
and now here are my reasons for why I think politics is a waste of time:
1. it's selfish, yes, you do have a voice, but a voice for what, a voice that can change the world around you to better suit your need, we can argue that it's better for everyone, yes, everyone who think just like you, in the end, it's a selfish act, that I can't wrap my head around, after all, is what I want really the right thing? should I really force my believe on everyone else?
2. waste. how much money and time have we wasted on this election? imaging of they actually use the money to educate the uneducated, instead of glue them to the TV, now, I know i'm talking as if I live in the ideal world, but it's just another thing I disagree on politics.
3. Politicians. I think they exist for a reason, and it is their job, they feed their family from what they do, and who's paying them? tax payers, see the problem? I just think it's to disconnected, and far too much restrictions.
4. is it really going to change anything? really? back to point 1, the majority is selfish.
You know sou, I just really do something good for the humanity, instead of focusing on my selfish thought, if I help others, I think in their shoe, what they need, but If I vote, I think for myself. then again, I might just be thinking too much.
