a lot has happened. my friend Yesh passed away... he was beaten at a party and then later died in the hospitol after being in a coma. The guys involved arent charged yet... and the police are doing close to nothing... The chief of police's son was involved somehow.. so they were trying to cover it up.. making it seem like an accident.. That pissed off and bummed so many people out...
the other day was the funeral.. i didnt know what to expect... but it was so good... it was really uplifting and made people smile instead of being sad when they thought about Yesh... friends and family sang songs.. there was a slide show.. and people went up to say stuff about Yesh. I saw old friends like Max and Keiko whom i havent seen in so long.. it was a really good thing. Its still very hard to think that Yesh isnt coming back.. and He wont be at the park anymore.. but Its made me thinkn a lot more about good things... and the good memories and how you cant take anything for granted because anyone can be gone before you even know what happend..
My favorite memory of Yesh was at a concert.. it was the second time the Hell Caminos came to maui and i remember i had gotten Yesh a DRI pin.. i got it for him before i remember once when he was drunk he kept asking me for my DRI shirt.. so at the show i found him and gave him the pin.. he lit up and was so greatful.. he pulled a anti-nowhere league pin from his jacket off and gave it to me... i still have it on the same place..
I remember i thought he didnt like me before i met him.. but you shouldnt judge.. he's one of the best friends someone could have.. and he'd have you back til the end... One thing i love about my friend in kihei... max, dumpster, yesh, keiko... all the punks out there.. is that everyone sticks up for everyone.. and no one talks trash about other people and everyone supports everyone else... and thats something thats so hard to find in my other groups of friends... i wish i could drive over to that side of the island more often..
i want to be more positive... i dont want to judge people... and i just want to enjoy everything.. in the end.. i hope everything works out..
ps.. word is that one of the guys that were involved with Yesh's death turned himself in today...if thats true... hopfully the other two arent far behind...
