(no subject)
yesterday was the crossroads marching festival.
we got 4th. no surprise there. however, our score improved by 4 points from last year. h.m. king got 2nd place though. donna beat them. when they announced h.m. king, there was a collective gasp coming from their section. we were so bummed that we got 4th place again. we were so sure that we would get a better score. donna got best effect, musicianship, colorguard, and drumline. many people wanted to difer them getting best effect, however i agree that they performed better effects than us. we did have beter effects, however we didn't perform them very well. our crab-step was sooooo not together. also, there were many people who looked like they were fucking running instead of marching while we did the last crab-step!!!!!!
we would have gotten a better score if we did alot of things better. but whatever, we can show them next week during the real competition. i really hope that we can get our shit together.
in better news, i saw some of my friends from alice. i took a pic with bonnie and kandie. i didn't get to take a pic of jesse or marsha though. :( when i saw all of them, i was kind of shy about going up to them because i didn't want to be all, "hey guys." however, i saw jesse and yelled out his name. twas coolies. but when it ended, jesse called me and we talked for a little bit.
yesterday i took the psat. i have a good feeling that i did good, but not good enough to be in the national merit scholarshp. :( oh well. there's always the real sat to prove myself.
friday we had a football game. we actually won!!! we played miller and the score was 14-21. it was very awesome. at least we don't suck that bad. they're band was soooo small. they announced that 28 people failed. i was just like, "why would you announce that????" oh well. we performed so good there though. we had a standing ovation! unfortunately we didn't have one at the competition. oh wells. until another day.
