Even heroes have to carry umbrellas sometimes while catching aliens.

I first took the pictures in "dry" condition but something did not seem right ;)

I also used the spray bottle to make Jack O'Neill sweat in the gym here: Jack in the fitness center

Poor Weevil, left out in the rain like that.

I love the little umbrellas! I bet Gwen was all "I'm not taking the girly, pink brolly!" but then Jack snatched the manly, purple one away from her, and Ianto rolled his eyes in the background.

Hahahaha! I might have to do some backstory now, with exact those words ;) Something like "Earlier, in the Hub..."
And yeah, there really was not much choice as for which umbrella Jack would get (from me).

Maybe I should give the Weevil an umbrella. It would be a hilarious sight. Much like the Ood with a kitchen apron in the "Pond Life" stories. I always wanted to recreate those. Who doesn't want an Ood doing your housework?

Was the Weevil going to the movies?

Why? Because of the barriers? ;)
I just recently bought them as I thought they were cool. I think they are more for building areas though?

Maybe it wanted to see "Singing in the Rain"... I have to figure out how to do a lamp post, then Jack can do this famous Gene Kelly pose. THAT would be awesome.

The barriers and umbrellas are awesome! And thank you for doing a Jack and Gwen scene (yes, I ship them, hee)!

Using a spray bottle is genius.

Weirdly, I had a dream last night that the 6" Jack O'Neill figures were coming out with bendable legs as well as arms. Wishful thinking I suppose!

LOL Glad you liked it ;) I don't ship them but it is obvious that Gwen and Jack have a rather special bond. Then again, I might be biased by having seen Eve and John together in panel, they are like brother and sister and share the same humor etc. And they are both crazy. But I think Jack respects that Gwen is with Rhys and never would do anything against that, on the opposite, he always tells her she shall enjoy her regular life, as none of the others have one.

Of course it got easier once Rhys new about Torchwood and aliens. You can't have a relationship with such huge secrets.

I just did a prequel to this story, as I got a wonderful comment yesterday! Check it out here: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/93274.html

I feel they changed the direction later on in the series but I only prefer the early eps of season one. There was definite chemistry when Jack taught Gwen how to shoot. ;) I know Jack and Ianto became the established pairing.

It's possible they wanted to set up Gwen and Jack first, but then Jack went away and Gwen got engaged and that was it.

But I totally agree, that learning how to shoot scene was quite hot! And I can totally understand Gwen fancying Jack and giving him looks all the time, I mean, with a boss like that, who wouldn't? It's just not fair! Everyone fancies Jack. Surely Tosh as well, secretly.

Actually my OTP is not even Jack and Ianto, but Jack and the Doctor. Because they understand each other. Both live like forever, and both have lost many people in their lifes. That cannot be easy, to still carry on. They share something nobody else can really get.

I love stories where Jack still or again travels with the Doctor in the TARDIS and has adventures.

the caption about the little girl frozen in fear... and then her cheerful happy smile... (!!) makes me think of the scene from 'men in black.' have you seen that movie?

in the scene, will smith's character is being given a shooting range test at the alien hunter place. it's set up like a mock city street at night, and all these alien/monster creatures are popping up everywhere, and then in the middle, pops up this innocent-looking little girl... he was about to shoot the monsters, but then he hesitates, and finally shoots the kid.

then he explains that the scary-looking aliens were just chilling and hanging out. but the little girl was walking down a city street in the middle of the night, and she was holding a nuclear physics book or something, so she MUST be the dangerous alien in disguise!

so... as a lesson in alien-hunting.... jack and gwen: WATCH OUT FOR THE LITTLE GIRL!!!

; D

It's been a while since I watched those movies but now I remember. Thanks! You are absolutely right. What was I thinking. What was Jack thinking. Thanks to you I woke up today with an idea for a sequel. I bought just the right guy for it in London in the past days. You'll see. I'll dedicate it to you! (it might even result in one of Jack's famous deads. I realized I actually never let him really die before!)

I am happy to report the little alien girl is dead now and won't come back LOL
