My first fandom
Well, that's not entirely true, as before "Knight Rider" did come the original Sherlock Holmes books which I think were my first fandom, and then I also was a huge Karl May / Lex Barker fan in my youth.
But then came the year 1989 and with it this self driving, talking, cool looking car. I loved it so much, I actually sat down and built one myself from cardboard and plywood. I also did all the dashboard inside. If you don't know them yet, you can see some pictures of the finished work here:

And it must have been the year 1990 when we also met the real thing. You could even sit in the drivers seat for a picture:
