While I was in Glasgow, I bought a small and a big bagpipe.

But it seems to be a wee bit too big for Jack Harkness:

Teeny tiny bagpipes! Are they all holding the small one? I agree, it looks best on the Doctor but I think Jack O'Neill looks pretty good too. ;) You pose them so well.

No, the Doctor has the bigger bagpipe. Since he is the Barbie size Doctor. Also the colors are a bit different with this one.

Here they are side by side for comparison:

And the correct way to play a bagpipe is through a nostril. ;)

Of course it is, did you not know? ;)

Not sure if you saw the other pics as well, my Big Chief Tenth Doctor has arrived now and he had more luck with the bagpipe. He is so poseable, it's a dream!

I think it would look better if they wore a kilt though ;)

I don't think the pipes are too big - it's the bag. Any way to downsize it to fit the proportions of the pipes?

Very cute!

Oh no LOL I won't touch the bag. I can't sew to save my life, I would only make it worse ;)

Might be because of the music it plays, they had to hide it in there somewhere?

Thank you!

You totally crack me up! I never would have looked at it that way.

BTW, I can't believe you haven't mastered sewing. You're so incredibly talented. Sewing is just like a puzzle. Fit a few pieces together and add some stitches.

Back in Eastern Germany days, sewing was a talent of many, or rather necessary, if you wanted some clothes that were different and not like everyone else had, and some stylish clothes. They used patterns from Western magazines and such, or made their own. But I was too young then and really never interested in any fashion. I was more a tomboy.

And yeah, sewing the pieces together sounds easy, but how to get to the right pieces, that's the question! I would have made my own Jack figure long ago if I knew how to do the coat. Some have done coats for their figures or teddys but you can't buy one in that size. At least I never saw one.

It's the same like cooking - in TV it looks so easy, throwing it all together into the pan or pot. But someone first has to do all the preparations and put it into those many little small bowls you know! LOL
